I am somewhat disappointed with GH:WT. For one, the funny messages during loading times are gone. Now it's just info and tips about the game. Booooring. Nearly all of the songs seemed really easy to me, especially on bass (except for BYOB -_-). I do like the RB-like setup, but it's a huge pain to be forced to play gigs in a completely linear fashion. If you can't pass a song, too bad. Can't move on.
Just a few things that I found rather disappointing about the game, but I still like it. What are your thoughts on it?

GreatGonzales106

I agree with you on most points, except I don't think it was really as easy as some people think. I feel like GH3 was harder than it could have been, so people got too good for this game.

I also think there's way too much loading time now. It's like every time you go into a sub menu, they have the same loading screen as the one for songs. WT's predecessors didn't have any loading time like that.

I completely feel different, but I do think some of your points are a bit true.

What's so bad about the gigs? Just how else did you expect It to be like? There's other gigs on the list as well, so just do another gig and return back to It later, or just lower your difficulty by pausing It. Oh, and almost forgot, but in the other GH's, If you couldn't beat said song, to bad, you can't move on.

I liked the funny messages, but in GH3 I didn't like them much, and honestly - Does It matter THAT Much?

As for WT's loading time - I actually kind of agree, It has way to much shoved into It. o.O Seriously, 2.3gb not including DLC/GHTunes/Any future patches and stuff? This is ridiculous.

I really enjoy this game overall, already completed vocals, guitar, and band career, and working on bass and drums. Overall, a lot of the stuff is pretty sightread passable for anyone into said instrument, does that mean this game is a bit to easy? Kinda, but It also means that I dunno, you're getting better at It?

And besides, why only pass when you can do a Five Star, FC, work with friends to have everybody complete a song on expert (Unless If your friends are good, easier said then done <_<)

I mean, If someone wants to say It's easy on every instrument, please, FC BYOB Bass, Beat It Vocals, HFT Drums, and Satch Boogie guitar. GH3 was mainly a step in the 'Wrong' And 'Too Hard' Direction, 'mainly because It was rushed/whole harmonix to neversoft switch thing. I personally didn't enjoy GH3. OHHH BOY RAINING BLOOD AND TTFAF, THESE SONGS ARE SUPER HARD SO THEY ARE OBVIOUSLY SUPER FUN...No, I don't quite see It that way.

However, what I do see Is things like this game and the music studio being overhyped (I found the music studio easy, but that's probably because I'm a real life musician as well) And I can see why people are a bit annoyed at the solo career If It's hard for them to get some friends over, or If they don't want to bring out the money for extra instruments assuming they don't have rock band. I mean, I personally found this a bit more easier to bring out when you have friends over than RB2...Probably because I see more lively songs in GH:WT (probably just me as in me a minority as in me by myself and I ^____________^), so this is more of something to throw out at the parties, try and have your entire band expert, etc.

So, overall, I found this game enjoyable, It lived up to my hype. I am annoyed of a few things, but eh, I can stand on, and I was annoyed of a few things in GH2, yet It's my second/third favorite in the RB/GH Series. I just really wish they would allow being able to play a wii or 360 owner with a PS3, and not having to have the other players have DLC To play It (Seriously, I want to play mr.brightside online but If my friends don't have It then no mr.brightside unless If they get it)

3 of my friends smoke weed. Why? Well I asked one time, and this is what they said: "Because I can blow out smoke and it makes me feel like a intercourse ing dragon"

I agree with you silver and gonzo. While most of the game is infact very easy, the last two tiers or so are pretty hard. I'm not willing to call this game easy until I 5* HFT, Satch Boogie, and the Zakk Wylde Battle.

I've said this already, but the interface is just plain bad. Having the multiplier on the left of the fretboard, making it small and hard to see. Then having your rock meter and star power on the other side of the screen. I like GH3's setup of those things the most.

I look forward to trying the drums as I've only played Beat It on medium (don't ask), but until then I can't pass judgement on them.

Vocals so far seem pretty enjoyable, but it seems the timing window is a lot smaller than Rock Band.

Overall fun game, but it seems a tad rushed.

Mutilator7

The game seemed cool, the messages don't really matter to me, and they weren't funny in GH3. I sorta figured they do gigs like in real life, one after another. I like the guitar, slider bar is OK and i really like the long whammy and starpower button seeing as i never raise my guitar for starpower. the drums are good but i don't see why they had to mix the colors up in order. Instead of green, red, blue, orange it is red, yellow, blue, orange, green. I liked the singing in rock band better because of the arrow. The songs are just fun to play, online is good, music studio is really complicated so i'll figure it out later. overall the game was good IMO

I personally liked GHIII's hardness, because it forced me to get better. Maybe GHIII just made me a ridiculously good GH player, so now I expect the other games to be unreasonably hard too. I dunno. GH: Metallica (if it's still coming out) might satisfy me.

Hey, I think World Tour's great.
I can understand what you mean by it seeming easy. (Well up until Satch Boogie), but I think there's still some difficulty to the game. If you've played Guitar Hero 3 as much as I have, and have perfected almost half the songs, then you'd be aching for any kind of new song. This is also why I was thankful for downloadable content on the Wii.
Also, I honestly could care less about the load messages. They got really corny and annoying seeing them for the 3 millionth time in guitar hero 3 anyway.

Well, I played WT On drums a lot today, and there's quite a bit I have to say.

"I personally liked GHIII's hardness, because it forced me to get better. Maybe GHIII just made me a ridiculously good GH player, so now I expect the other games to be unreasonably hard too. I dunno. GH: Metallica (if it's still coming out) might satisfy me."
GH:M Is still coming out, there's a freaking trailer of It on the WT Video menu, some people have played It and apparently It has judas priest, motorhead, and alice in chains as well as metallica, and a double kick pedal option on the drums.

The other part aside from the video's is stuff I'm not sure about but heard on scorehero.

As for being forced to continue on with career, yes. A lot of the stuff for anyone that can beat/almost beat a heavily hard song easily has It as'SIGHTREAD PASS LOL' Written all over It.

'The Interface' I completely agree. Ever since GH2, It just hasn't really felt the same, heck If they just copy and pasted GH2's graphics of It, that would be amazing for me. Really, It get hard for me to see my multiplier and star power at times, and sometimes I'm in the yellow and then I go down really fast o.O (Usually happens on drums)

I'd also like to say that in the next game, they really need to work on the parts where they screwed up at. Hit the drum for softer/harder noise? ON SLIGHT NOTES LOL, AND IT DOESN'T HELP SENSITIVITY. Why did they do this?

Not sure If this is anywhere, but autosave again please? Mine didn't save when I quit out to watch a movie, and guess what I got to do? Assassin, Obstacle 1, La Bamba, Scream Aim Fire, and the last two nonbuyable gigs (Including overkill, everlong, da**it, shiver, etc) All on hard. Repeats of those on drums took a while to, on GH2/3, I never had this problem except when GH2 froze. 2.3gb is crazy.

I mean, too easy at points can be pretty true, as I know on the PS3 leaderboards, not a lot of people do vocals/bass compared to drums and especially guitar, and It is getting pretty expensive at this point.

As for the tad bit rushed part, they did try to fit to much into this game. I mean, this game had about as much time from GH3 as GH1-GH2, but all GH2 on PS2 did was mainly have different songs, in WT, It's out multiplatform, four instruments instead of really one (technically 3), ALL Master tracks, a music studio, etc. Not really rushed I'd say, more of 'Too much at once'

The game's still quite enjoyable to me, but I will say that all the songs (well, except when my friends got me to fail out in the group ;_; ) were sightread passes.

I won't say as much as others, as I haven't played it much. I feel that it is a satisfying title, though, and that accounts for something. And as a bit of a GH rookie, I can say it's easier than GH3, which sort of disappointed me, as I enjoyed the challenge posed by the title.

sonicdude164

I played the drums for this yesterday and they are very fun with the new drums, but confusing at first to those of us who played primarily on the RB drums for so long. It seemed that the sensitivity on some of the pads was too high and it would double hit a lot. I have heard that activision has offered some sort of fix for this but I don't know any details.

Lol.
Or a mixture of both. Such as in Guitar Hero 2...where it said something like
"What idiot told you that wammying gave you more points?"

Cuz honestly I used to believe that it did, lawl.

But yeah I get what you mean, but of all things i could complain about the game, that's definitely not one of them.

The only thing that isn't a tip or web address to check my stats that i've seen so far (and i play alot) is "blame the singer's girlfriend", is that that the only semi-funny thing in there?

There's one that says "If it's illegal to rock, throw my @#$ in jail!" or something.

Kaz

I only have one major issue with the game, and that's "Pull Me Under." Seriously, I don't think the developers even listen to Dream Theater, and they just picked one song by them at random, because that song is sub-par on quality, difficulty, and just overall content. I was hoping for "Under a Glass Moon" or something.
