Items in casual play?

Do you use items when you're just playing around?  You know, when you just want some fun (probably with friends) and you're not practicing for a tournament or "proving yourself" on wi-fi or anything?

I do; while I admit items take away some of the competitive aspects of Smash, I think they greatly add to the "fun" part of it, especially when it's an item that affects everyone playing (like a Nintendog or something).

I used to play with them off, but recently I turned them on and it's more fun that way

It is more fun with them, but no matter what, whenever I did put them on on Wifi, they didn't wanna keep battling, so I usualy don't use them anymore, but the game's always better with them.

Offline I usually have them on when I go to Super sudden death mode on Special Brawl. So much fun ;D

I prefer having no items, but on occasion I will turn when I am playing some of my friends.

When I have a party of friends, we set a Rotation match with 3 Minute timed, all items on High, everyone chooses Random, and the stage is Random. It is intense, to say the least.

Items are always a blast to play with, so whenever my brothers and I Brawl, we use items. Well, most of them. But when it's one on one, no items.

It's just that I only have one brother, so it's always a 1 on 1 offline, so why bother? Items are only fun in free for all's, which I hate.

When I'm just playing for fun I like play with Pokeballs, Assist Trophies, and Smash Balls on the highest settting. :D

I like the cool items like the hammer, gooey bomb, etc. but stuff like the Dragoon is insanely annoying. I usually turn off the items I hate, but with the less overwhelming ones it's fun.

Alone, though, I have items off. I know items relatively well enough that I need not practice using them.

Yeah i prefer to play no items but when a friend or relative who only seen ads for the game comes over i put items on so they can get a smash ball

usually only when I'm playing with a bunch of friends I'll use items. Sometimes its a bomb fight with only gooey bombs, motion sensors, smart bombs, and sometimes blast boxes and bomb-bombs. Usually when I play one on one I use no items.
