What Wii Menu updates do you want?

We all know that Nintendo has been giving us plenty of Wii Menu updates that do not add any particularly important features. Just junk like USB Keyboard support in Mii Channel and blockage of DVDx and similar homebrew apps. At the same time, we all know that people have demanded certain updates like a storage solution which Nintendo have been ignoring.

The list of updates I'd want:
  • Ability to boot WiiWare/VC games off of SD card
  • Support for USB Mass Storage devices (either USB external hard drives or thumbdrives)
  • Brawl's save data seperated into multiple files, with only the file containing main save data being unmoveable (128 blocks which cannot be moved is horrible)
  • Or, rather than making the main data unmoveable, enable moving of all game saves, or at least enable it for most games (like, Trauma Center New Blood should be able to be copyable, but My Pokemon Ranch actually has a good reason to have copying blocked, although I would like to duplicate my pokes)
  • Theme support for the Wii Menu. With selectable made-by-nintendo themes, or possible support for homebrew themes.
  • Ability to move the cursor with the Gamecube controller in the Wii Menu. There is some support currently for moving the cursor with the Classic Controller's left joy, although some functions are not mapped like the A+B dragging-and-dropping of channels. I'd like to select the Disc Channel and play Gamecube games without connecting a Wiimote and Sensor Bar, kthx.
  • Going with that, map A+B to a button on the Classic Controller in the Wii Menu
  • Adding the ability to use Classic Controller in Gamecube games. Either with custom button mapping or with a pre-set mapping. Classic controller has as many joysticks as the GCN controller
  • More Mii features, if that's even technically possible to add
  • Ability to view total gameplay time per game, without having to look through every day's gameplay records and adding them up manually.
  • the Message Board being listed in the Data Management, images either included or as a seperate save file
  • Miis being listed in the Data Management
  • Ability to set each Wiimote to a different IR sensitivity level, as when playing multiplayer you can't expect everybody to be the same distance away.
  • Ability to change the IR sensitivity level from the HOME menu during games, as it's annoying to restart and go to the menu and the options just to change the sensitivity every time.

Not that I expect all of these to happen. Though I do really want certain ones, like Gamecube controller support in Wii Menu and making more save files moveable.

Yeah, i have a homebrew app that you can change the wii menu up a bit, bypass that stupid health warning when you first turn on your wii, and mute the menu music. Definetly more mii parts, and something that connects to wi-fi from the menu and tells you which friends are on and what games they are playing, sorta like xbox.

Yeah and the should add something like wii talk.

What it would be is when you see what friends are on you can click:ask for a wii talk.

Then your friend could be doing anything on his/her wii.And they will see a little mic flashing at the corner of their screens and if they click the home button there will be a option saying answer. The click it and they can talk with their friend(s) while they are playing.(Wii speak must me hooked up)

Ability to boot WiiWare/VC games off of SD card
Nintendo better bring that into the US fast. it's about time they did something for the core gamer

Adding the ability to use Classic Controller in Gamecube games.
please. Nintendo, you don't sell wireless GCN controllers anymore....

Ability to view total gameplay time per game, without having to look through every day's gameplay records and adding them up manually.
I would like this also

DVD support.
I mean, Nintendo has it in there, why not activate it?

That first one.  Definitely.  I mean, it's already registered to your Wii alone, and if they made you get a MyNintendo account to confirm this, it would be even better for them.

I don't really care all that much about the second one, but if GCN controllers can be used with the VC games, why not make the GameCube games be used with Classical controller as well?

I definitely want the third one, as my TV is pissing me off with the slant and the sensor bar.  I've been wanting to get a little flat screen TV too now for a month or two after seeing how much of a pain it is to move it when I'm on my Laptop so I can play AC:CF and be on AIM.
