December 27/28 Brawl Tourney ~Sign Ups and Rule Discussion

Hey guys,

As I'm sure you know, I'll be organizing a number of tournaments.

We'll take as many sign ups as we can, but know a few things:

1. 27th and 28th will be the only days, so you'll need to hustle with matches.
2. Items will be OFF.

Outside of that, sign up now, and discuss possible rule sets. Cogs and I will work them out from there. And yes, a lovely prize will be awarded.

I may not be here for the tourney but here's what I think we should do.

Players begin with a neutral stage pick, which will be agreed upon by both players.
Winning player will be able to choose a counter-pick stage, which will be revealed to the opponent before characters are picked to allow for both players to pick the same stage.
To accomplish that, we can make use of our shiny new Brawl Chat.

Matches will be played in the normal fashion, 3 stocks with 8 minutes on the clock.
During a match, if a player must leave his controller, the match will be considered forfeit to the opposing player.
No leaving your battle people. >:(

Characters can be changed between matches, and all characters are in limits.

In case of excessive lag, matches CAN be postponed until the issue has been addressed, but with only 2 days to complete said matches, it may be decided that one of the players could simply be disqualified.

We could really just play a simple 1 set 2/3 if the tree is big enough.
That would leave either a best of 3 sets or best of 5 sets for the finale.

Although, if our tree is relatively small, it wouldn't hurt to either make multiple sets or even make a set 3-5 instead of 2-3.
