Yes, totally.

I haven't played ALL the Genesis games, but of the ones I did play, you might like:

Spider-man: Seperation Anxiety
Landstalker
Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine
Comix Zone
Sonic 1
Sonic 2
Sonic 3
Sonic & Knuckles
Pac-man 2 (LOL)
Castlevania: Bloodlines
Columns (I think this was the name)

Yeah, you might enjoy these.

Well, I totalled all the stuff I would buy, and total comes out to about $125-$135 *depending on which Sonic 2 I buy*, and I have a $25 Visa gift card (and I'm sure it works for online stuff), not to mention some more possible gifts tonight (we didn't do Hanukkah gifts due to it being Sunday and no postal stuff... It's easier to do everything at once).
I would get:
Genesis Model 2 (looks great in pictures, and users history is over 97% good)
Sonic 2, 3, and Knuckles (all in box, only cuz it's like three bucks more in the used category XD )
Ms. Pac-Man
Sega 6 pack
and A/V Stereo cables

Sounds like a good deal to me. Just waiting to see what other stuff I get for the holidays before I buy.
**Depending on money I may also pick up Ristar**

WEll, I just ordered the stuff I said I'd order.
I just used standard shipping cuz I don't need any serious rush...
most of it is 4-17 business days (why 17 I have no idea).

Came out to $124 and my parents said they'd pay for some of it...
Pretty good deal I must say. I'd rather have the Genesis, a piece of history, and some games I really like than spending it on nothing special/have no interest in. ^_^;

Good for you sir. Despite the fact that the Genesis is technologically inferior to the SNES in every way except for the speed of sprites, it's still awesome.  =D

Get a 6-Button controller as soon as you can, if you already didn't order it.

Ooh Columns.

Still VC has made it so I wouldn't be buying those systems for the time being. Sure, it's good for nostalgia, but I'd much prefer only having to hook one item up. I do have a Genesis though, and it's a lot of fun. However, most of the good games are available on every other console....so yeah.

The Genesis is inferior to the SNES in every way except for how fast the sprites can move.

A game like Sonic couldn't be done on the SNES.

I held off on getting a Genesis for so long, until I found one complete in the box for $35.

I just did it cuz I wanted one. I had some money for games and there really weren't any games I wanted, so a Genesis sounded better.
Also, the only VC games I buy are games like Megaman and stuff you really can't get anywhere nowadays...

$8 for one Genesis game is way too expensive, you can get pretty much any game loose for $8 or less. There are very few Genesis games that are like Chrono Trigger/EarthBound rare.

I got Ms. Pac-Man for $1.60 and Sega 6-pack for $14 *just cuz some cheaper ones were not so good record wise on amazon*

Java

I see you've already bought your games already, but I definitely recommend Streets of Rage 2.

That game was so much fun. So many memories playing Co-Op. ;)
