Random poll of the week. I think I'll do these every Monday if it's cool with you all.

Week One: Commercial Guys.
Question: What commercial personality do you think pitches his or her product the best?

Everyone who watches TV knows that there are certain people who seem to show up all the time. Two good examples would be Billy Mays, and Vince Offer. Their marketing styles stick in peoples heads, and can attract a person to buy their product, or deter them away from it.

Billy Mays uses a shouting technique, to emphasize the goodness that is his product. He remains energetic throughout his commercials. With his Richard Karn (Al from Home Improvement) looks and his energy, you can't forget him, but does that mean he sells well?
Notable product: OxiClean

Vince Offer remains very calm during his commercials, but he makes his point very clear: His products are effective. He is very blunt, and sometimes seems to not truely care about the product he is selling. Does this hurt his marketing, or does his point get across?
Notable product: ShamWow

These two are only recent examples. Others might include Ron Popeil or Ed Valenti.
