Yes, Wii Remotes have been Nyko-ized.

It's been confirmed that Nyko is making a Wii Remote spin-off...and it's being well received. Better buttons, slightly increased surface area, and even better control.

Thoughts?

...Nyko?

I won't believe it until it's actually released.

I'm surprised they were able to build a working controller, without being sued.   I thought with the wii technology, they were going to be strict on it.  I personally wouldn't buy, due to compatibility issues.  What stops Nintendo, from doing a Wii update to stop it?  Or wiimote accessories, not working with it.  I had problems with quality with 3rd party controllers.  They don't last as long and are more sensitive than a card house.

My god, can't anyone come up with any original ideas? The friggin Wii comes out and everybody has to copy it >_>

It's not a copy, it's a third party controller. This happens to every console regardless.
I'm just surprised Nintendo hasn't thrown a hissy fit saying Nyko can't make one. Next to EA they're probably the most greedy about their "ideas" (please, the Wii technology has been around for ages...)

If Nintendo sues about them making 3rd party Nunchucks and it does nothing, this will do nothing.

Of course, it could end up like the Nyko Party Station...

Tuppy frightens me with his knowledge of legacy technology.

I don't trust 3rd party controllers period.
Mat Catz or what ever you call it...........

The name itself should speak for the quality of their product.

I don't like third party controllers, but when there was wii remotes that needed batteries, nyko was there with a good charger when nintendo had nothing.

I would like to see how this would work and feel.

Nyko's Rechargeable batteries = WIN
Nintendo's Rechargeable batteries = Non-existant = TEH SUCKAGE = PHAIL Nintendo.

The ones I have have a poopty battery life, and I charged them for well over 24 hours.  I'm not sure if they're Nyko or not.  Nintendo should have at least made an attempt at making rechargeable batteries though instead of sticking with AA's.

I have never seen any other Wiimote battery replacement.  Have you checked to see if their is corrosion on some of the bars that you connect to the Nyko Charger prongs?   If there is corrosion on it, you need to remove all of it, or at least some so the Blue light will stay on longer on the charger(s).

If they did that, they would lose money on you not buying any more Wiimotes.

Use Duracell. Works everytime.
I use these:

I have enough batteries so that, having the charger in another room, I just swap the empty batteries in my Wiimote/other device for two of the charging ones (which are always done charging before I take them). I happen to also own the kind of battery pack made by nyko, but not only does the battery's life:charge ratio suck, but the Wiimotes refuse to align correctly over the metal charging parts of the stand correctly most of the time.

That's assuming they'll ever make Wiimotes with rechargeable batteries.

Mario583, that is the problem that made one of my charge packs not work, but they are pretty good and had a good run.

Yeah, nyko's rechargables did come at a good time.  I have saved countless amounts of money by getting that.

But a controller...  I don't know.
