I believe Miami gets it again next year.

The NFL sure does love Florida.
Probably because 98% the other states are frozen solid around this time. >_>
Yeah, why don't they ever have the Super Bowl up here? >:(

It's only because they can't play in REAL weather!
Exactly...
Most of the time wimpy southern teams (often with domes *coughATLANTA/ARIZONA/NEWORLEANS/DALLAScough*) can't win in the cold against northern teams that are used to it.
It's practically a proven fact at this point. The last time I remember a south team actually winning against a northern team on the road was the Falcon's beating the Packers in 2003 I think.

And remember the Ice Bowl? That's why Dallas doesn't come up here anymore. "IT'S TOO COLD! BLAH BLAH BLAH!"

I hate Dallas. >:(

Go run 2 miles in a pair of shorts, with pads on, no gloves, no sweatshirt.
Then, run into a wall 20 times.

They are tougher than you think... and really if its that bad who will want to come and watch?
Bad Business.

Northern teams seem to handle it rather well. I'm not saying I'm tougher than them, but for as in good a shape as these guys are in, and for as much money as they make, they can play a championship game in freaking cold weather every once in a while. I mean really, it's not fair for product revenue for teams in the north who have stadiums if you wnat to go the business route.

Northern teams get it both hot AND cold. Also, try catching a ball at 0 degrees, or throwing at that matter.

Matt

Cardinals and Steelers both got there on pure luck, they both caught the better teams on a bad day. I'm not even going to bother watching the Super Bowl this year.

Throwing isn't a big deal as long as your hand isn't frozen solid.
Catching is hard, but again, read my last post. These guys are at the peak of physical shape, and they make more than us "normal" people will ever hope to make. I think they can suck it up.

I think you may be forgetting that the Miami Dolphins beat the Jets in the Meadowlands this year at the end of the season...

Unless you mean playoffs.

I pretty much mean just the Superbowl since they tend to be in the south or domes the vast majority of the time the last ten years or so. Home field advantage doesn't matter because it's based on record.

Ah okay nevermind.
I thought you meant any time during the season.

Who's better than the Steelers in the AFC?

Certainly its not the Titans.

And really, number 1 defense has to count for something.  ::)

Well, the Steelers did beat the Ravens both times they played in the regular season, but the Titans beat the Steelers and the Ravens during the regular season. But then the Ravens beat the Titans in the playoffs. Basically, it's really just who's better that day, not overall.

Y so serius?

Seriously, it's about PREDICTIONS, not WEATHER.

If you can't pull it together in the Playoffs, you don't deserve to be there.
If anything, you should play better than you did in the regular season.

Steelers also had quite a few injured players going into that game iirc.

Either way, both teams deserve it and it will be an amazing game.
