A few years ago, Bop It commercials were all over. With multiple versions of the toy, it was doing well. I don't know about you guys, but it was pretty lame to me at first. It was technically my sisters, but barely being able to get 120 while my sister got 250 was infuriating me. It was thrown in our magical time capsule closet with the other ancient pieces and didn't surface until last Sunday. A friend was over and we started getting competitive. We ended up breaking the record about four times with me ending it at 324.

Did you guys own the toy and have any fun with it or did you see the lame looking ads and just blow it off?

Holy crap, nostalgia blast. I remember playing that for hours until my mom finally took it away, because it was so annoyingly loud. :(
I also got BopIt Extreme, which managed to be EVEN LOUDER AND MORE OBNOXIOUS.

We have BopIt Extreme 2. The even more obnoxious version of BopIt Extreme. :3

Holy intercourse ing poop.
I used to play the poop out of that thing. I can't really remember my scores though.

Also, SOCK EM BOPPERS.

Between the Bop It Guy and the guy in the Perfection commercial, the ground was paved for the likes of Billy Mays and Vince Offer.

Yes, I loved Bop It. That and Sock Em Boppers, a toy so awesome, they used the late 80's/early 90's ad for as long as it sold.

Yes. But there were volume controls. Although medium was pushing it sometimes. And when you lost it was even louder and more obnoxious than possible. It's like "DUDE YOU SUCK YOUR SCORE WAS 57"

I only had Top-It :(

I think I remember those...vaguely. What did they look like?

PsychoYoshi

Nostalgiagasm. I came. Used to love those things.

Marmalade

Bop it and Bop it extreme. (What the hell was it called again?)

Anyway, I always tried to cut myself after trying it for an hour; I wasn't very successful with it. I blame the toy and not my reflexes! >: I mean, come on. They obviously sent me a broken one or something that can't respond to my amazing reflexes.

ThePowerOfOne

Oh my god, I freaking love Bop It. It gets irritating as hell after a while, but my god is it fun.

...I can see a commercial with Billy Mays advertising it now.

The Game Boy Pocket.
Put it in your back pocket.
Sit down and it breaks.

I had a Bop-It pen.  It was a smaller version of the original Bop-It with Pull It being the pen part.  Best pen ever until Twist It kinda broke D:
