So a few days ago I got my Dazzle capture card in the mail!

I'm really happy it is finally here, I am now going to start on making a few Halo montages, and me and Magnumsonic are going to make a final boss rush for a few seperate games.

I'd also be happy to make anything anywhere here wants

Also does anyone else have a capture card or any sort of capturing device?!!

I was supposed to be sent one by a reviewing site I worked for, unfortunately they got axed before it came -_-

I really should invest in one, though, as it would make my reviews all the much better. They're great things, though.

Same goes for me. I could probably use on but if I'm getting a new computer over the summer I'd be better to just wait X_X:;

Is that the right one?  Also, the company seems to have a location in Hauppauge, NY, so I'd assume that's where it's based out of.

I have a Gamebridge, which is a USB capture device. It has composite, S-video, and stereo RCA (audio) inputs.

...but I don't like it, because, and mainly driver-related issues:
If I use any video viewing/recording program other than Intervideo Home Theater, the framerate randomly changes a ton, the audio connectors on the device cannot be read, and the entire computer will crash in certain conditions.
The program included with it, InterVideo Home Theater, expects to get like 110% of my CPU usage. Which makes it lag on my single-core processor no matter how many programs I have open. As far as I know, it seems to lag on every single-core CPU and runs smoothly on any multi-core CPU.
There are no drivers available for Linux. For one big video capture card driver Linux project I saw, it's specifically listed as one of the unsupported devices.

On a side note, does anybody know of a capture card without problems like those, that happens to support any progressive input (I want to take still image screenshots), that is not a PCI-express nor AGP card, and is at an affordable price?

The capture card I got was 102 dollars, with all of the cables and with shipping, usually you can't buy them unless its off the internet, dazzle is the best kind.

I also just finished my first project with Magnum. Here's a link

Thats what a low quality and un edited video would be like!

Hopefully I'll either get Dazzle or a far better webcam once I get my new Macbook Pro in about a month.
I honestly can't wait cuz my current PC is about four years old and really starting to get slow.
Just have to redownload software (most of the stuff I currently have is pointless, just need to redownload uTorrent, coding software, a codec, and some other things) and maybe some torrents depending whether or not they will work on the Mac or not... I can't wait it looks so cool!

How much was Dazzle and is it easy to use? XD

Well the capture card itself is around 40 dollars, however with all of the cables its usually around 90-100.

I got my Dazzle for 102 dollars which includes shipping.

It is fairly simple to use, also there are many instructional video's on how to use it properly.

I have a pinnacle,  it's wireless.  Pretty good quality.
whatever

Zovistograt

I have one for laptops that kind of sucks :(

I can't get half the features to work and the video usually gets corrupted.

Pinnacle is the editing software I use, however had to pay extra to get all of the features >.>

What site did you purchase it off of? Are there any higher models?

Considering I'm vying for some...work based on my writing, I really need to make the investment.
