Arcade and QDB

Just some quick updates for you all today.

QDB:

A rather small update, but Silver has added a link to the Quote Database across most (if not all) skins. This is to make the feature a bit more accessible, and promote use of it. Should you get a sig worthy quote in the forums, on chat, or on any of our servers, be sure to upload it to the QDB.

On top of submission, users may also rate the quote, a nifty feature. Please check the QDB out.

Arcade Beta Releases:

With the NFES system being close to defunct, SUPERKOOL and I have decided that some game releases for the arcade would make perfect sense. As of now, 7 titles have been added to the NSFCD Arcade.

Babyshute: This overly easy game comes from the SMF Arcade site - you simply fall with your little parachute, grab bottles, and avoid clouds. Simple as that. Scores do work.

Bum's Rush: Your goal is to collect change. Essentially, you play Barack Obama, as with CHANGE comes HOPE and UNITY. Okay, maybe not so much. Scores are currently not working, and quite likely won't.

Defend Your Stronghold: Another SMF Arcade game, meaning scores work. Start shooting those stick men, before they get to you. And yes, they will get you.

Froggy/Frogger: The wonderful little frog needs to avoid cars, snakes, logs, bushes, and....well, yeah. Getting to each target is no easy task. Scores do not work as of now, but could in the future.

Graveyard: This shooter has you going after the not so dead forces. Hopefully you can put them back in their place with help from some other spirits. Scores do not work as of now, but could in the future.

Hexxagon: Chinese Checkers is wonderful, but this weird version is much more amazing than your little mind could fathom. Scores do not work as of now, but will in the near future.

Mario World Overrun: This game features more shooting than Nintendo would ever allow. Which is what makes it fun. Unfortunately, there is no score saving, and likely never will be.

Pandemic: In this game, you create your own strain of virus. Your goal is to kill lots of people. Dunno if scores work.

All of these titles are under the "Trial" category, meaning they may be removed at any time in the near future. This typically means that plans are in place to modify them in some way. Furthermore, many of the titles, new and old, do not have images or descriptions. By the next time I update you, these should be largely fixed. Please leave feedback and suggestions on these games. If you like the titles mentioned, we will diligently work to incorporate scores - if not, they'll just be removed.

Yeah the other day I was thinking it would be nice to have some more arcade games.

Froggy I didn't like. Was playing it at school today. Got in trouble, too. :P

Much obliged if we could have more feedback on the games. You'll also find "More Bloons" on there - of course, no scoring as it doesn't keep score.

DYS is meh. I need more ammo than it'll give me. And a bigger shooting area. The rest is ok.

Pandemic and Defend Your Stronghold (Storm The House) should definitely stay on the list.

They're both very fun, and entertaining for a long period of time. To me anyway....

We'll see. I think Pandemic will appear in a new category, along with More Bloons.
