Have You Planned For The Future?

I've been spending quite a while planning my future lately. Thinking about every aspect of my life and each consequence carried on with the risks I take. Not to mention the hard work needed to get into my career, dealing with racial discrepancy, and many other things. Recently my new-found aspiration is to become a RPG Writer for Square Enix X_X Don't tell me the 1000 reasons that's nearly impossible.

Every skill needed, the amount of time taken, everything... I've been thinking crazy lately, and not only about that, but getting a job next year as well. Taking on a responsibility after years of parading around life in a fancy flying car with a free ride. I'll be making my own money, and soon I'll likely move out onto my own; perhaps into an apartment, I've not a clue.

Either way, life and the upcoming future have been flashing in my mind. Even the thoughts of children and such. One of my friends called it 'Wandering Out of Adolescence' which it really does happen to sound like  :D

Granted, that may in fact be inflicting stress on me, but lately I've been able to calm myself as well as slowing my train of thought. There are problems people my age are not ready to handle yet, and those answers won't come until I'm ready for the answer. This is not a reflection of intelligence, but rather a reflection of the future, of what I've yet to become.

As much as you examine and prepare for life, you can never be fully prepared; nor can you expect to have the answers to a situation always held handy. I'm still a child and acceptance of that is a key to maturity within itself. There are things I'm not yet ready for and being a 'teenager' is just garbage to make you sound more mature... Well, partially  ;D

Regardless, I've planned for the future vigorously with great integrity, whether or not my future unfolds the way I want it to is not in my control. Even if it doesn't end up that way, I can still love and appreciate life as I currently seem to be doing now out of a slump I was in before.

How have you thought about your future, plans, as well as were you'll live and work in the future? Do you think of it frequently; and if so, how often?

I do think about this often.

I decided what I wanted to be in seventh grade. Every year, the eighth grade math department had an "Engineers Week." Since I'm in honors math, my class also somewhat took part in the event. One day that week, people from IBM came in and had a presentation about the different types of engineering and what IBM does in those fields. I found it one of the most fascinating presentations I had ever seen, and when I got home, I said to my mom, "I know what I want to be when I grow up. An engineer." *cue emotional music*

Even in my sophomore year in high school I've been starting to take a little interest in colleges. I'll probably apply to Cooper Union and Cornell, however, obviously I still have a long way to go in this process.

So, to answer your question, yes, I have planned for the future. Or at least started to plan. You can never know for sure if what you plan will really happen.

I've thought about it before. I'm not really sure what I want to do with my life yet. Things have come and gone through my head, but there hasn't been many things I'd want to stick with.
My mom wants me to be a teacher, so I don't know. That's a maybe, I guess.
YEAH

jnfs2014

I guess you can say that. I know I've been planing it for years, but I still have a long way to go.

1st year Uni is coming to a close, but I still don't know what I want to do...

I'll probably just take business courses  next year and head into business 3rd year, finish 4th year.

I plan on going to college and earning my masters' in Computer Science with either a minor or a dual major in either mathematics or physics (leaning towards mathematics but idk).  From there I want to get a decent job at a software development company coding and perhaps even designing some portions of applications, and then prove myself as a creative mind to create new apps instead of just being a code monkey forever.  From there I'd use my decent income to get professional electronic music production equipment and make professional-caliber hard dance music which I will attempt to get signed with so that I can lead a double life as a programmer and a rave music producer and possibly DJ.

I'm serious btw...that's how I'd really like my life to go.  But who knows.

That sounds as detailed and descriptive as I want my plan to be. I should try for that. I already know becoming a Professional Writer in your second language makes my idea...er... HARD TO MAKE HAPPEN.

I'm done with college in a year, so I kind of have to. I know that I need some type of graduate degree (will probably be a PhD in Japanese History) in order to have any shot at a job.

The issue is that I need to amass the money for grad school; normally they waive your tuition and even give you a stipend once you're taking the PhD level coursework, but for the Master's level stuff (first two years of the program), you need to pay. So I'll need around $60k to make it through. I'll either need to take out a boatload of loans (I hate being in debt), or raise some money first.

Fortunately, I might be able to teach English in Japan for a couple years after college. Pay is decent for an entry-level job, and they pay for your housing and airfare. My Japanese professor is an interviewer for the program, so she knows that they'll be asking and I should have a pretty decent shot at getting in.

After I get my PhD, I'll settle down somewhere and teach at a college.

Well I do think about it a lot nowadays but it's getting depressing. College is too Hellas expensive and I need about seven years of schooling after high school. This blows.

I have planned.

I plan to go to Meadowlands in these coming months and winning big with my team.

In veracity, and not to seem captious, I'll tell you that if you want to write for anybody, you'll need to work more on your language and writing skills.   There are some egregious mistakes in your opening post, not counting the unpleasing structure.  I think your dream of becoming a writer for Square seems reasonable--it's not like the stuff they write for their games is that complex.  I think your grasp on language principles is tenuous, but what you say seems somewhat sound and well thought out. Anyway, I'm not sure what I want to do yet.  I just want to go to college right now.

You got the right idea there. =)

Don't forget that ammo and silver or gold can be used for bartering/trading as well.  You can't eat that stuff so those valuables can go towards more food if you find people in need of such.. but you already know that.  I dunno how aware others here are..
