Turns out it wasn't what you were expecting?

For example, I saw this store called "The Gaming Matrix", and I thought it was a video game store.  So I ask Hero if we could go there today, and we did.
It was a D&D and LARPing store.  I saw men ages 30-40 playing... Magic the Gathering.  The moment I saw the foam swords and shields, I felt... very uncomfortable...  especially considering the fact that I was the only female in that store, and some people were staring at me.  I practically shoved my husband out of the store when I saw bottles of "Mana" for sale.

It was scary.

Got any scary stories?

I once got out a Phonebook and called a place in the White Pages called 'Gamesky' thinking it was a game store... It ended up being a family home   :O

They'll put businesses like Gamespot that aren't in the Yellow Pages in the White Pages, so I thought it must just be missing from the Yellow Pages, perfectly reasonable since Gamespot was only in the White Pages.

My cousin tried calling the movie theater but the number in the phonebook was for a phone sex hotline.

Another WTF type thing.

I'm glad that hasn't happened to me... yet.

But there was a story I hard about that in a certian state, they made these duck stamps, and they put a phone munber on it that was mean't for donations to a conservaton fund.  It turned out to be a sex hotline.  To think a state DNR accidentally had this big of a slip up.

Zovistograt

I went into a small card shop that seemed not to be much at all in Chinatown.  It turned out to have a hidden Internet cafĂ© / LAN Party in the back with really nice computers.

One time when I went to Las Vegas, they had a shop where they sold like model airplanes/cars right next to a "gentleman's club".  :D

Yesterday, sort of. I was on the verge of crying. Why? I got into an argument with a couple other people from #nsider and it got me really upset. I didn't really cry much though

whats D&D and LARPing?
Dungeons and Dragons and Live Action Role Playing.

Been to one of those stores, Red. Not scary, the employees were too busy playing D&D to notice any customers.
