So, is there any validity to this statement?

My dad told me that the opossum was the only marsupial in North America?

Does anyone know if that's true or not?

If you care, I need to come up with trivia questions and that would be a great one if it turns out to be true.

I don't know about you, but I've never seen a kangaroo hopping around New York.

As two before me said, it's true.
"I like cigarettes, Mrs. Taggart. I like to think of fire held in a man's hand. Fire, a dangerous force, tamed at his fingertips. I often wonder about the hours when a man sits alone, watching the smoke of a cigarette, thinking. I wonder what great things have come from such hours. When a man thinks, there is a spot of fire alive in his mind-and it is proper that he should have the burning point of a cigarette as his one expression..."

I knew that there were no kangaroos and koalas in North America obviously, but I wasn't sure if there was any other marsupial that I was missing.

I'll lock this now.
