God Damn Dazzle...

Need some help guys.
Okay, I've tried everything I can think of. Whenever I try to record using Dazzle, it lags UP THE ARSE. Like 2 second lag, which is of course impossible to actually play ANYTHING.
I tried using an S-Video cable from the tv to the Mac, thus bypassing the system to Mac altogether. That didn't work.
I looked for an RCA (A/V) Y cable that takes in RCA, and has 2 RCA outputs. Apparently that doesn't exist.
I tried lowering my screen resolution so low, it shouldn't lag whatsoever, but it lagged just as bad.
I'm out of ideas...anyone else have anything? ;_;
