It doesn't matter as long as the person saying this hasn't dated either. For example- You are too young to date and you probably looked like complete idiots. You couldn't possibly have understood love. Having never dated, I am granted the right to say such a thing.

No, I don't see the point of dating in Junior High, so I'll wait a few years.  Besides the girl I like probably won't date until she's 16, so I'm good with waiting.
