OH MY EYES!!!

So, I now have hard contacts. No, the name is not funny, because they hurt like intercourse ing hell. If you've had them you know ow they feel... If you haven't then intercourse you and your good (or better than mine) eyesight... So if anyone has had them try and post what you did to stop the anoyingness of the contacts... An if you don't have them rue in my pain...

hard contacts are freaking terrible. I tried wearing them for a while, and they just stung too much and cut up my eyelids. I'd rather have glasses, so I wear those.

soft contacts are fine, I swap between them and my pimp glasses

The good news with hard contacts is that they eventually reshape your eye and may prevent your vision from degrading further. So there are trade-offs, just like pretty much anything in life.

Yeah, I get them free through insurance. :3

Insurance isn't free, so you're still paying for them in a sense; just not as much.

I don't wear contacts and I only wear my glasses in the occasional class when the teacher puts some really small font up on the screen. The nosepiece on glasses gives me a headache so I don't wear them all the time, my vision's not really *that* bad anyway. But if I ever do have to wear my glasses more, I will for sure be getting contacts... so, I'll remember what you're saying about all the pain from the hard ones.

Hope they stop hurting soon. :\

I was diagnosed to get glasses.......never wore them in the end, I see fine.
