I'd put both on the "better than everything else gaming has to offer" level, but I put OoT above MM because it's quite a bit longer, a bit more challenging, and just more stuff in it.
MM is easily better than every other Zelda game besides OoT though. Hell, these two games alone are better than everything else on system.

I cant say Ocarina of Time was more challenging, I mean you had to learn 4 different sets of moves for each transformation. My friend, who is a diehard ocarina of time fan and MM is gay type, couldnt get very far at all in the Snow Head temple because he got so frustrated with Goron Link. And honestly, other than the Water Temple, Ocarina of Time wasnt too hard.

Which reminds me, I'd say the Great Bay temple alone would make MM the hardest 3D Zelda ever.
?
I found that place to be pretty easy.

I thought it was average just really really long, I didnt wanna sit down to beat it. Stone Tower was kinda hard though at the beginning.

Stone Tower was hard, but at least it was interesting.  I couldn't stand the pipe system of Great Bay.

Dude the whole last quarter of the game was my favorite part. The whole back story of Ikana is awesome.

Am I the only one who feels hatred for the Snowhead Temple?

Nope, in fact to be honest I didnt like Snowhead or Great Bay at all. Honestly I enjoyed the sidequests and backstory more than anything, and that is why I am such a diehard fan of MM.

Great Bay wasn't that bad. It was actually...fun, compared to the other Water Temples.
But Snowhead was ruined by that darn Goron Form. I hate sacrificing speed for power.

I would definitely say MM. It was so much more original and creative, in my eyes.

Ocarina of Time had a Magnificent story line, introduced a role that many fans know Link as which is the Hero of Time. The story of the Triforce and Ganondorfs goal of becoming the King of Evil. Very original items such as the Ocarina of Time, Fairy slingshot, Fairy Boomerang Big Goron sword Etc. There were a few side quests that were enjoyable and the temples were challenging however still were not so hard as to not enjoy them. Along with the boss fights which share a similar trait. The music is amazing as well.

Majora's mask, It is an amazing game and in my top 5 games of all time, however there were not many new characters, many of them were the same since the scene of Majora's mask was that Link found himself in an alternate dimension. However it was still unique and very fun. Many side quests and many things to collect.  Also the ability to re-fight bosses without redoing the game. The temples were the same difficulty as Ocarina of Time *Personal opinion* and were very fun to complete over and over.

However with Majora's Mask I still never get the feeling I have when I play Ocarina of Time. My first and favorite game and the one I have completed more than any other. It's just a magical game to go through.

So Ocarina of Time is my favorite.

Oot is amazing, but MM is even more amazing.

That's a tough call to make, since both were amazing and each had so much going for it.  Though I do think that the whole "OoT was the first 3D Zelda, so (insert praise here)." gets a little tiresome. What if MM had been released first?  There goes that reasoning...  OoT had much more to it besides being the first 3D Zelda.  It brought new and refreshing items to the series, such as the Ice and Fire arrows as well as the ocarina.  It basically became the formula for future 3D Zelda games.  However, it eventually seemed to become almost boring to me.  Even now I cringe when I hear someone brag, "I beat OoT (insert ridiculous number here) times!  I'm so awesome!"

For some reason, I found it to be kind of monotone and bland.  I didn't really feel like I was on an adventure.  After becoming an adult, you basically searched for dungeons so you could beat them and win the game.  Ganondorf had gained a decent foothold in taking over Hyrule, yet only the Castle Town seemed to be really effected.  Sure, Zora's Domain was frozen and Kokori Forest was taken over by Deku Shrubs and such, but it could have been better.  Imagine Ganondorf's loyal soldiers marching through every corner of the kingdom, burning houses and killing anyone in their paths.  Meanwhile, a small group of freedom fighters remain hidden, waiting for a chance to strike.  It just seemed like Ganondorf sat in his castle and waited for a chance to kidnap Zelda, but didn't bother with the rest of the kingdom.

Don't get my wrong, I still consider OoT one of the best games of all time.  I could rant about some of MM's flaws as well.  But for some reason, I just found MM to be more addictive.  It kept bringing me back.  When I played the GC version in the Collector's Edition, the game froze at least twice in every dungeon.  When MM freezes, you're screwed.  One of MM's main flaws was the save system.  More to the point, I kept coming back to the game.  If that happened in OoT, or most other games, I'd probably just slap myself in the face, put the game on a shelf, and go back to it a year later.

Interesting. See that is opposite for me. I enjoy Ocarina of Time, but I can't stand sitting down and playing through it anymore. After getting 100% on master quest, and then getting 100% again on regular OoT last summer, I am tired of the game. Mostly because I found it slow to start, OoT was set up to be a 1 time jaw dropper for its intro, but now everytime I wanna play again I dont wanna sit through the boring intro stuff, I just wanna get down and play the game. With Majora's Mask I get that, and for some reason it just sticks with me all through the time I play it.

Meh. Ocarina of Time.

I could give a HUGE paragraph explanation but I can sum it into 1 sentence. Damin Stone Temple =|.

Oh Vesperia, never change... never change
