Iowa is now the 3rd State in which gay marriage has been ruled legal.  Never expected a midwestern state to achieve this quite so soon.

Very significant. I like this move by Iowa of course, but it's a HUGE step in terms of the gay marriage ratification. This isn't some "ultra-liberal" (as many conservatives like to put) state like the two in New England (Conneticuit and Massachusettes), this is a borderline republican (usually red, but not so far as other states) in the heartland of the country. Big big news...

I consider myself conservative on some views but I don't see why people care about gays so much. They aren't bothering you, are they?
...Friend codes were probably implemented by the same people who wanted tripping in Brawl...
...It's quite obvious...

It's mostly bible swilling southerners who are still miffed about letting blacks have rights and "god help them if the gays can do what they want."

That's basically the deal X_X;;

That is a bit of a shocker. I was expecting the blue states would go long before the Swing States. Quite impressive.

Too bad Kansas and Missouri will never legalize it.
THANKS FRED PHELPS ^_^

The major cities of Missouri/Kansas are surprisingly forward-moving.

However, the country is corn, Bibles, truck stops, and more corn.

Kansas City was rabidly pro-Obama, which surprised me.
Then again, KC is rabidly black as well.

Yeah, I think that within the next 20-30 years as more states legalize it, even the most Republican states will do it just so they don't seem like they are behind.

It's a good  point. And yeah, with places like Canada pressuring the States as well, there is a lot of reason to do so.

If enough states legalize it, and the Federal DOMA is overturned, there might be a nasty showdown in the Supreme Court over these amendments in the state constitutions.

Syncopathic

I really didn't expect this. Like Mack said, I also expected the blue states to do this first.
What's next? A southern state doing the same thing?
