After re-watching Friday's episode of the Tonight Show, I just noticed Miley Cyrus called Hello Kitty the girl equivalence to Pokeman.

Which brings up my question...do people around you call it Pokeman too? My dad does, my mom doesn't (she plays the games).

Does it annoy you? I for one am, much like rowt vs. root. Awnt vs. ant.

Friendly Hostile

I say Pokemans, but that's from spending too much time online.

SkyMyl

I've always said it as Poke-a-mon, but that's mainly because it's easier to pronounce than Pok-eh-mon.

Nayrman

poh-keh-mohn

That's how it's supposed to be pronounced so that's how I pronounce it.

I say POKE-ay-mon.

My grandpa always called it "Pokemans." It didn't really bother me, geezers can't be expected to understand pop culture.
"I like cigarettes, Mrs. Taggart. I like to think of fire held in a man's hand. Fire, a dangerous force, tamed at his fingertips. I often wonder about the hours when a man sits alone, watching the smoke of a cigarette, thinking. I wonder what great things have come from such hours. When a man thinks, there is a spot of fire alive in his mind-and it is proper that he should have the burning point of a cigarette as his one expression..."

Doodle

POH-KEE-MON
As a kid my dad would always say Pokeman, just to tick me off. I'd always get mad at him for it. :P
YEAH

Shujinco2

My Grandma says it like that. Yeah, it's a little annoying.

POH-KEE-MON
This is how I say it.

GreatGonzales106

I say it poke-uh-mahn. It annoys me when people say it like poke-ee-man.

You get less scornful looks from some people when you say it that way.

That is quite true.
