Sleepover Discussion 2: Dark

Dark Type Pokemon are pretty cool. They're my favorite type (with Ice), and were the first true way of taking out psychics (as bug moves just didn't exist).

With that, we've seen a really slow introduction of Dark. We started decently, with the likes of Sneasel and Houndour, but really didn't get that many others.

Sure, Umbreon and Cacturne are nice...Murkrow too, but we need more.

Anywho, out of the darks, which one is your favorite? Do you use dark types like I do?

Luxio and Luxray (and maybe Shinx) should've been dark, they sure do look it. Anyway, I don't have any dark Pokémon in my current Platinum Party, but I do in Pearl.
My favorite Dark Pokémon are Houndoom and Sableye.
And I agree, there should be more dark pokémon.

Darkrai and Absol, both are pretty awesome Pokemon, due to their looks, but as well as their strengths and abilities.

Houndoom looks amazing, as do most of the others. The aesthetics on darks are intense.

Huh, odd. I always thought that there were more Dark Pokemon than meet the eye, but when you actually look at it, no, there are not that many at all. I really think the series should take advantage of that and put a lot more in with the next installment. However, not too much; we don't want to ruin the exclusivity of Dark-types.

With that being said, I've taken quite a liking to Darkrai and Absol. Sneasel is also pretty cool. Dark-types seem to have that suave-like air around them.

Aye. They're all pretty tough...Cacturne. Mightyena. Sharpedo. Weavile. Umbreon. Shiftry. Absol. Houndoom. etc.

I mean...they make up a neat spectrum. They're the most closely connected group, really.

All the dark types rule, but Umbreon is my favorite. He's my favorite pokemon, was the only pure Dark type at first, and frankly has the best visual design for dark types. I also like Absol, mostly for good visual design though.

Yes, we need more dark types. They're the only thing that can take out Psychic types...

If you rule out ghost and bug types.
