It should be actually interactive and virtual. That way I can punch people out. That would solely make the internet great. No more people hiding behind the fact that they're some annonymous user who can get away with anything. *Punches me some Nintendo fanboys*

...umm, well, if technology advances far enough, our avatar's will be the "hologram" in which we are on the internet. :P So I could literally be a replica of Link on "teh interwebz" ...as for our voices, yeah, you'll probably use your own voice, but there might also be voice overs =o.
