Oh please let Madden die, it's such an atrocious series it deserves it.
Frankly, I'd rather have Apple than Microsoft in the gaming ring. Apple would have far better third party support (in terms of games, not the usual 80% FPS's, 19% sports, and 1% desperate attempts to try and debunk the stereotype of the 360 as a brainless FPS box).
Also, Microsoft can't make first party games for poop, Apple at least has a competent development studio, they did make the iphone after all X_X:;

It's not that it's terrible, it's just that it just one big rehash after another. If you buy one Madden game, you're set for about 5 years.

Technically, you're set forever now. The newer games have roster updates.

average gameplay (older football games were a LOT more fun, trust me), and it's all one big rehash after another because EA is too lazy to do anything with it. If you buy one, you're pretty much good to go for about 10 years since they're all roster updates anyway. Although, frankly, I BLAME YOU! Yes you the consumers who file in every year on "Madden-day" (BULLSHIT!) and buy the same game over and over and over again! Which is why I mostly blame the consumers because most of them are those idiot "gamers" (a.k.a. the ones who only play Halo and Madden and think they're SOOOOO hardcore) who are happy to spend 60 dollars for the same game every year.

I never got into Madden to be honest, I much prefer arcade style football games like the NFL 2K series or even the Blitz series.

But seriously, if I want to play a modern sports game, I will play a hockey or basketball one.

Both those series were so much more fun than Madden ever will be X_X;;
Stupid "purists" of football wanted the game to be so accurate it took all the fun out of the game.
