E3 2009 will be held June 2-4 this year, and actually returns to what it used to mean to be E3 in that the large crowds are returning.

The current list of things known that they'll give info about seems to be (going off Wikipedia, but I doubt any of these are much of a stretch):
  • Mario and Sonic@Winter Olympics (oh, joy, a sequel to a game that wasn't very good in the first place)
  • Mega Man Star Force 3
  • Zelda: Spirit Tracks (Personally, PH was my least favorite Zelda game for quite a while)
  • Rabbids Go Home (part of Rayman spinoff series)

    Here's my opinions:
  • I'd expect at least some info on Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver, perhaps the next Pokemon Wii game as well.
  • I think they'll probably give some final info on Wii Sports Resort
  • I'd like an Ace Attorney 5 announcement, but I doubt E3 is the place Capcom would choose to announce it.
  • Pikmin 3 is a bit of a stretch to expect but at least it's wishful hoping.
  • Some DSiWare or DSi system updates will probably be discussed, but it's too early to hope for GameboyVC.
  • It's about time for Sega to announce another likely-to-fail Sonic game.

Nintendo:
- continue to mindlessly boast even though they haven't advanced the industry at all
- more casual shovelware that will be terrible but they'll think we all want
- Spirit Tracks, which imo looks really dumb, but I"ll wait to see the full game in motion first
- HG and SS will be shown, although I expect it'll be similar to D/P/Pt.
- ONE and ONLY ONE hardcore game so Nintendo can go "LOL SEE WE STILL CARE DESPITE MANY OBVIOUS SIGNS WE DON'T!"

Sony:
- show FFXII and God of War 3.
- Improve online
- show some decent games
- blow it by making a stupid hardware announcement, although it won't kill the system
- PSP2 or something akin to it

Microsoft:
- spend entire conference showing FFXIII going "look dudes we're TOTALLY not like, uh, a first person shooter only system, liek awesome. She even uses guns!"

WiiGuy

Nintendo:
-GoNintendo said there is a new DSi ware game going to be revealed, they didn't say what company, so IDK if it's Nintendo or not...Link
-Wii Motion Plus games
-Nintendo will give us the full details about WSR
-DSi Firmware update?
-Wii Menu update?
-ML RPG3 details
-Nintendo's Secret game unvailed
-Zelda game
-New Mario game?

Tupin

Nintendo:
Sales figures for most of the conference, forgetting that it's not just a business conference anymore
A couple of new DS games that they will either underpromote or they will be crap
Newest Miyamoto title
Some new hardware addition that they'll support for a few games and then forget about

Microsoft:
Show off another 360 firmware update or something similar

Sony:
PSP2
PS3 Slim
God of War 3

Third Party:
Sega announces new Sonic game, hints at new hardware developments (arcade or home system?)

Capcom announces new Ace Attorney game, maybe shows new IP and also Spyborgs

Expect:
Nintendo:
-Wii have the highest $ale$ figures of any system evar lololololololololol
-Bigger explanation of Wii Sports Resort and/or Wii Motion Plus
-Several hundred shovelware titles
-Spirit Tracks, which I'm reserving judgment on until I actually see the demos.
-Two or three "hardcore" games which are actually poop like Nintendogs Wii or Animal Crossing Space Station Edition, or one actual core franchise game (probably Zelda or Kid Icarus) to sate the fans that they've boofooed for two years. If the latter, the game won't see the light of day until 2010.

Sony:
-Update on the MAG that they announced as their surprise last year (probably due out late 2010 or 2011).
-Reliance on sequels that are far, far away (FFXIII, MGS 5 (it's coming, there's a counter on Kojima's site), possibly KHIII)
-A possible slight price break on the PS3 (small, no more than $50)

Microsoft:
-Emphasis on Xbawxs Live, shooters
-Fable III teaser?
-Giving Sony the bird because of Square's semi-defection in regards to FFXIII
-The latest cash-in on the overrated Halo franchise
-Possibly a modular Bluray drive?

Want:
Nintendo:
-If Wii Motion Plus really is as accurate and all that it's cracked up to be, it has tons of potential. But Nintendo and the third parties need to effectively develop games,
-Get rid of their Machiavellian strategy of not paying developers for producing well-written but not well-selling Wii Ware.
-To stop with the shovelware, though they won't.
-Zelda or Kid Icarus (plzplzplzplz or i sell your system)
-Engaging DS/DSi titles
-Elimination of friend codes (lol)

Sony:
-If they bring out the big guns and release more AAA titles, they'll be fine. The key word, though, is "if".
-Dark Cloud 3
-KHIII
-MGS 5
-LBP 2
-FFXIII

Microsoft:
-Needs to keep focusing on wooing non-shooter fans. They've done well in initial strides, but they need to keep it up.
-Fable III
-FFXIII

X-3

-Release dates for Wii Sports: Resort and M&L3. Maybe others.
-Some info about HG/SS, if only a teaser.
-Sales figures.

Other then that...not sure. Not expecting too much.

I'll see what Nintendo will say this year. Surely, it's going to be very good as the previous years.

Luckily, the E3 is going to be like it used to be in 2007.

I highly, highly doubt Fable 3 will come out soon, even for the next 3 years.
Fable 2 took a while, and Lionhead is playing it up like the best game ever.
It was good, and they'll have more downloads for the next year rather than focus on the new game.

I want-

Nintendo:
Fire Emblem 12
F-Zero Wii
Lots of info on Spirit Tracks
HG SS info

Microsoft-
Demo of CoD: AW2
Fable 3 (D:)

Sony-
lol sony

Magnum

New Legend of Zelda
New Star Fox
New Kirby
New Luigi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Vesperia, never change... never change

Zero

Yeah, Capcom won't be there. Swine Flu broke out in their office or some other BS.

As far as Nintendo goes, once again, not expecting much.

I just want Mario and Luigi 3 in the states already.

You mean FFXIII? Yeah i wanna see some of that.

Nintendo- Pikmin 3, maybe a wii hd or whatever they were talking about to update the wii.

Microsoft- FFXII like stated above
Halo ODST and Bungie revealing project that isn't Halo related
Lowering of console price and motion control stuff likely (not looking forward to though)

Zero

I wouldn't mind seeing Metroid Dread back in production. Odds of that happening are nonexistent though.

So far, seems there is a Mario game, but it's just a remake of NSMB for  the Wii >_<
