At least Nintendo allows you to take it out.
I still want to know how a tiny thing that "weighs next to nothing" really helps the sensitivity.

Matt is still the biggest tool at IGN though X_X:;

The Wiimote itself is extremely lightweight as well, if you take out the batteries. That's even considering that the Wiimote has to fit inside it the Bluetooth stuff, the buttons, the IR camera, etc. It's no surprise that a device with nothing but the motion sensors will be lightweight.
One of the first things I thought about when I picked up the Wiimote out of my Wii box is that it's really lightweight for a game controller.

It still makes me question how it works... or why they Wiimote couldn't be like that in the first place X_X:;

It uses gyros, as far as I recall. They hadn't figured this out at the point they Wii remote went under construction, I'm sure.

hopefully we'll FINALLY have motion controls that don't suck the big one...

Honestly, quite a few of the control schemes are tight. The issue was making them 1:1. I can only imagine what something like MP3 would benefit from a WM+ Update....maybe MP Trilogy will have it...

I doubt MP Tri will have WMP, since it's a remake and Nintendo never gives remakes any real effort X_X;; *looks at the GBA Mario games*

The only overly tight motion controls that do what you want them to do over 90% of the time that are NON-MINIGAME SHOVELWARE are MP3, No More Heroes, and Zak and Wiki. **I don't count TP since it's a gamecube port and Galaxy used a total of three levels for motion controls**

Sure, Wii Sports Resort looks fun...for an hour. I still want to see something Zelda, Metroid, hell anything that has depth extensively use the WMP and make it good the entire experience. Then and only then will I say motion controls are even worth it.

Although, I do admit the few games that use it well are REALLY fun, so I haven't given up just yet. Although Nintendo's E3 this is pretty much make it or break it for me...

While the WM+ will definitely help motion, it doesn't improve IR, so I don't think it could do much for Prime anyway (though Other M will probably use it since it's not just a FPS).  In fact, that's the reason Conduit isn't using it:  aiming with IR is fine, so there was no point in putting money, time, and effort to WM+ tech unless they would have something else that could benefit from it (which they were going to do, but it wasn't working out, so they trashed it).
