More than 90 percent of what you will see in Super Mario Galaxy 2 is all brand new. Maybe even 95 percent.

The game's theme, like Galaxy 1, is clearly space and planets. Same physics system. The star bits system appears to be unchanged from Galaxy 1. The theme in the trailer sounds very similar to New Egg Galaxy's music. The spin move is the same. The sling stars are the same. It looks generally the same as Galaxy 1 with new stages and a few small other changes like Yoshi.

Look at Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine; they're much more different from Galaxy 2.

lol, no, you couldn't. Different plot, objectives, characters, themes, weapons, design, etc. is not comparable to a copy, cut, and paste game like Mario Galaxy 2.

This is a Mario game, so most of the qualities that are always different between shooters, aren't even applicable and cannot be compared.

Eh, 90% new levels? Which means that 10% of the levels are even duplicates from the first SMB? I'd really doubt that.

I don't like shooters myself, but I'll go with what Zero said. Comparing, like, Metroid to TF2, is like comparing... Mario to Kirby or Sonic. They're the same genre, but otherwise a completely different game.

This is meant to be a whole new game/sequel, not an expansion to the old game.

As for the 90%, I'm doubting it'll be that much, but I'm betting there'll be a lot of new stuff they'll try out. Guess we'll have to see, though.

Still looking forward to it because I loved the first Galaxy. Hoping this will be harder.

Harder........ For me the game out of 100%, it was 65% hard.
THIS IS ME, I don't care if you think it's 10% hard. Dang you people get on my nerves.


Anyway- I remember how many times I died and fail that stupid Ray Riding event. Just kept falling off during that Stupid Loop! UGH!

I'll buy this game of course, but just like the 1st game It's not my high priority.
