And I'm not kidding...

QuoteThree English universities have teamed up with the British Library and gaming giant Nintendo to develop the prototype games, which will be similar to Wii Sports. Researchers will use recordings of playground games and songs held in archives at the British Library, as well as collect current examples direct from today's school playgrounds. These will be used to create prototype games that can be played on a games console.

Good ol GoNintendo reporting that one.

Now, I realize they aren't going to publish these titles, but I'm actually surprised Nintendo won't be. They could have a series of Wii Games like it...wait, they do. Wii Music, for one. No less, it seems to be an interesting concept, and hopefully it furthers someone's education.

Actually, I'd like to see stuff like this put on WiiWare. It may not be the most innovative, but if it gives future devs. a learning opportunity, I'd be willing to play...as long as there is Multiplayer fun like in Wii Sports.

Uh...wouldn't it be better if the kids did this kind of stuff OUTSIDE where it's more beneficial to their physical and social development? God whatever happen to kids just playing outside?
Sure, some games can be beneficial for kids, but really I don't see the point other than trying to get another "awww, ain't that cute!" story on Good Morning America and The View X_X;;

...it's not about that at all. It's to teach game development...

I was thinking the same thing.....

Sooner or later they'll have games for everything. Everything. Well more realistics ones anyway where you actually have to do the motions.

Yeah. But I think even the casual market will grow bored right away, and then the bubble bursts.

How about Wii Take a Crap?

It'd sell.
I don't know how that would help anything at all, since it's just 2 controller thingies. It would probably be Wii Wipe.
