I had a dog until a month ago, when he ran away. (I'd feel sad, but he was recently being a dick and pissing/poopting everywhere, which made me feel that he somewhat deserved it)
Ever since, I got a cat, never looked back. ^_^

Neutering isn't done for convenience. Neutering is done for the good of the animals themselves. There are already tens of thousands of perfectly healthy dogs and cats that have no home right now becuase people aren't spaying or neutering their pets and there are more animals than there are families who want them.

If you want a dog, that's great, but don't get a dog that will contribute to the overpopulation just because you think neutering is mean.
