From my sister's now empty apartment, I salvaged a Playstation today. The very first Playstation, with a power cord conveniently attached to it. No one wanted it, and I couldn't let it be thrown out, so I took it. After cleaning the dirt off of it, I plugged it in an outlet on the wall and it seemed to turn on.

Now, since Sony's consoles are like solving Math problems to me, I need some help getting it to work. I already tested it and it turns on, but there are a few things I'm curious about.

1: It doesn't have an A/V cable. Does the PS2 use the same cable?
2: Is the PS2 controller compatible with the PS1?
3: And if it can't read discs, it's dead, right?

Yes, I know I'm pathetic. >_> If you can answer these questions, then thank you. ^_^

1: Yes, they use the same AV cable.
2: I don't know, but controllers are cheap anyway.
3: Disc Read Errors are rare on PS1, if it doesn't read, it's probably the fault of the disc.
