I can't add water? I can't have a large stage with a different background? There are only 3 backgrounds anyway? why not have tile sets from existing stages? etc.

Would you have liked it if there had been SSB 64 stages in brawl?

The same reason the leaves don't act like leaves (You really think you'd be able to stand on leaves which change color and move upon attack?)

Why do you slowly get hurt when you go off screen? and why do you die when you go too far off screen?

It's the Law of Smash. You can't hide off screen, thats not fair. And if you walk too far off screen well you just went Out of Bounds.

Why can't Squirtle stay afloat (Or SWIM) in the water parts of the Brawl Stages? Makes no sense to me at all. :-\

When Charizard falls in the water how come the flame on his tail is still lit? o O
