Does no one else play it? I think it's an excellent series, albeit a tad tedious, but still excellent.

I had Dynasty Warriors 4 for the PS2. I had a lot of fun with it even though it was just a hack and slash game.

I have played a few of them with my friend. The fighting system isn't very fun in my opinion.

I realize it isn't too widespread, as in it's a tad more appealing in Asian countries respectively :D

The storyline, once you get acclimated to it, is actually quite nice. Though the same story is told in every installment xD

But all in all, it is a decent game.

I used to play it at my cousin's house, it was either 3 or 4, I forgot. It was an awesome game.

I just played a demo, actually, for Dynasty Warriors Gundam.

Now, I don't like Dynasty because it got repetitive after the first few times I played it(but it was still fun) Gundam is a series that I hated as a child and never bothered to watch it when I hit a more mature and more 'mecha anime loving' age.

Needless to say, one of the funnest games I've played in quite some time. I will probably buy it.

Oh, Gundam...

I daresay that it's not even remotely close to representing the base of the series, as in its roots. The core gameplay of DW Gundam is tediously fun, but the storyline is weak as ever.

If you want a true look at what makes the series at least decent, I highly suggest getting a game in the series that deals with China. Gundam is more of a spin-off/rip-off.

Gundam is a rip-off and it is really fun. It's Dynasty Warriors in space.

Er, it should be called Hack-n-Slash: Gundam. The whole 'Dynasty-Warriors' part of the game is virtually non-existent.

But it's basically players preference:
