I def think so.....it so hypocritical for people to be declaring how great he was, when just a few weeks ago they were mocking him. I also think itsridiculous for him to be treated like such a saint now, when he was faced with child molestation chargers multiple times. I don't care that he was acquitted. hell OJ was also.

I'm not saying that he doesn't deserve to be treated with respect, all dead do, but this is too much.

Yesterday, sort of. I was on the verge of crying. Why? I got into an argument with a couple other people from #nsider and it got me really upset. I didn't really cry much though

I pity his children. Especially the one who had to speak in front of the whole world and cry about her dad. :(

Too be honest. I don't think it was. I mean he was basically an icon and really well known everywhere. LIKE EVERYWHERE. And just because he was mocked as a person doesn't mean he shouldn't be praised for his music. (The memorial was really sad. Especially when his older brother sang for him infront of the dead body. D8 I wouldn't have been able to do anything like that. Because wasn't MJ like the youngest out of all of them?)

Plus...
I mean. I bet when someone like... Madonna dies. (Omg shes been here for like forever too) It's going to be heavily publicized as well. :S

I was at work, so I missed the entire thing.
To be perfectly honest, I didn't really care enough nor would I care enough to watch the entire event.
It may sound cold hearted, but thats how I feel.
I am sad to see him go, but for anybody who's Done MORE good in this world then bad (if he really did do it) then I think they deserved to be recognized the way he did.

Michal Jackson was not only Popular, but for most of his life, he was on TOP...and what to people do when somebody is on TOP by popularity and success etc etc...
THEY will take shots at him. It's always been like this.

It's just the way it is.

Any and all celebrities get more attention than any of them ever deserve.

However, if anyone deserved a big fancy ass funeral, it'd be MJ. He changed the way music was made, as well as the music video. Very few people leave that big an impact on their profession.
But still blatantly overblown

Tsumaru

Go listen to the Thriller album and try to say Michael Jackson isn't legendary.

no, but I voted yes in the way that his death draws too much publicity.  His death continues to make headlines and it's darn obnoxious.  There are more important things going on in the world, but all that news anchors report about is speculation on how he died.q

It just goes to show how superficial the criticisms were.  Yeah, he looked weird, he was eccentric, and there was question about his sexuality.  What stood out above the rest, though, was his lifelong sheer talent.

The Seventh

I kinda wonder that too.

Yeah, he made good music years back, but recently he faced a lot of ridicule over the multiple child molestation charges, and now he's getting so much publicity that it's seriously irritating everyone I know.

Whatever happened to info on Billy Mays's death?  Huh?  HUH?

Michael is the 3rd youngest. Randy and Janet are younger.

Michael Jackson is the most famous person to ever live, and the greatest entertainer to ever live. Gee...I wonder why he got so much attention.

You have to realize, MJ's death has affected darn near every country. Spain won't give a poop if Obama dies. They care that MJ did.
