What "Nation" Would This Continent Be And Why? (Avatar)

In the avatar, there are 4 nations, each containing most of the specific benders. Which would we be? (North America)
It's obvious we aren't the Water Nation due to the fact that those are in the 2 Poles.
So in this topic, just name where each nation would be (EX: Here is the Fire and Asia is Earth, or whatever). And give reasons why you think so.

North America is badass, so we're the Fire Nation.

Europe is the Air Nation.

Asia and South America are the Earth Nation.

Africa? Uh....an unknown tribe?

because it's better than most of the poop on tv nowadays so why not?

I guess we'd be fire, since we seem to love a good conquering more than most other nations.
Asia would definitely be Earth.
No idea about wind and water though.

I might not have been all that good at remembering world history, but wouldn't Europe be a more suitable Fire Nation, considering their history of imperialism?

Although US has become rather militaristic, it doesn't really try to conquer other nations.
