Here be a list of all the officially confirmed weapons/attachments/equipment found in MW2 so far. I will break the list into categories.

Oh Em Gee they better bring back the Scorpion. Best weapon in the game right there. But still, this is a great line up of weapons. Glad to see the UMP make it in. It seemed to be in every shooter game except CoD.
Hell yes to the multiple shotguns. Shotguns are some of my favorite guns to use for fun factor.
LOL at the glock. I'm going to go GANGSTA with that :P Also, do I see a pistol attachment for laser? That would be a nice feature.

Yay. RPD is back. #2 weapon right there.
God I hope all of this stuff is true for Multiplayer as well as single player. I'm getting so excited.

I love firearms. I am very happy to see a lot of these weapons make it in! OMG Look at all the shotguns! Yes!
The only things I dislike are the bull-pup rifles.

Thanks god for nerfing the M16.

I think they have too many Assault Rifles and too many Shotguns if this is the final list.

LMG and Sniper need some love.
Otherwise, looks great. Glad we are getting new guns, I would have been disappointed if we had all the old ones with few new additions. And riot shield would kind of be broken.

I'd like to see the bolt action rifles that would be returning. On another note the M110 is an awesome rifle.

I'm guessing the reason for so many weapons is the story taking place all around the world. That being said will the online top level be raised since there's going to be more weapons & challenges for them? Maybe level 70... =O I hope not...

Is it for sure the SCAR-L? I've recently read other sites claiming it's the SCAR-H. This could make a large difference. If it is the L then it'll be fully automatic online, but if it's the H then it will most likely be semi-auto like the M14 and G3 were.

Well, in CoD4 all weapons in Single Player were more or less available for MP.

MP even had extra guns so...

I thought the exact thing. The new max level is going to be, like, 100. And you still have all the prestige's.

You can never have enough assault rifles.
It's the class of weapon that the majority of people use, so they added a bunch of new guns to it.

and there were only two shotguns in cod4, so they had to add a couple more....

After like 7, it's gets a little much.
There's really only so much you can do with a rifle.

Triple shot, single shot, fully auto.

Maybe a bunch of the weapons could be special ops mode exclusive.

Because apparentley, Special ops, is like a second campaign mode.
Just as long as the normal campaign (The one with soap in it)

It's either

1. It's single player/special ops. only

or

2. it's in multiplayer, but can only use it with one-handed guns. (Skorpion, Mini-uzi)

i'm pretty sure IW will find a way to balance it out.
