I just got Promoted today!

No, not on a forum on the internet like here. :P

I got promoted at my job.
I'm the new Operations Manager! Yes!!
*does Cha-ching motion with right arm* lol lame.

Ever since my old operations manger got Terminated for being a "crook" (lol),
I was easily next in line to take his spot!

So what does this mean?
Well, more responsibility, but even more so.... one more step to Owning my own Retail Store in the Sports Authority business.
Here is the plan...

MY store manager Ms. Elizabeth came from the Sports Authority store in Arkansas. She got transferred down here in Louisiana.
She plans on moving Back to Arkansas because a store management position will be available, and she wants to go back home to her home state anyway.
All of this will be happening next Summer.
Now when she Does leave (I Pray that I will still be here because of the hurricane seasons), I'll be the Store Manager at the store I been at since September 14th 2004.

OHHH, so much Power....... I can't wait.

I was told that I'd have to turn into an Arse hole though.... Something that honestly isn't in my nature, but I WILL if I have to.
After all, my goal is to be District Manager. *grins*
It's so far in the future though, so anything can happen.

But anyway, I'm on a temporary high right now, I just hope I don't mess up down the line, lol.

Anybody else have any future goals or plans?

A sad realization.... and surprising...
Though I got promoted, my old position was Equal to that of Operations.

I just have more responsibility...
But I get more benefits.
For example, when I have to go through a Store Audit ( UGH! ), and I pass I get a bonus on my pay check.
Also, when the store manager leaves, Everybody and everything will be answered by me.
And there is nothing they can do about it!

As for me... I'm not sure what I want to do yet. I've started writing again, a hobby I hadn't done in a while. I've had this idea in my head and just started writing out some things for it tonight, so we'll see. I wouldn't mind writing on the side, but I think a field in Psychology would be interesting as my main job. I'm taking a class on it this year, so we'll see how things go from there.

I am still totally undecided as to what I want to be or do with my life. Though I enjoy acting singing and dancing so much that I'd love to do it for a living. However I know that the road to becoming a professional actor is long and hard and every time I'm reminded of this I give up on this dream leaving me undecided. =\

Haha, well done Star. But yeah, I've never imagined you to have the attitude to be a manager. It's nothing against you, but from what I see of you on a forum (something I oft times see comparable to a business), you opt to please EVERYONE - nice on paper, but not a reality. I do wish you the best of luck, and offer congrats. Super got a promotion in his job too, iirc.

As for my aspirations, I do hope to become a teacher, as many of you know. I have more than acceptable grades, particularly in my field, and I'm sure I'll go far in it. Not really interested in any of the principal type jobs, though. Not very fun.

And...Dog Food...writing on the side can be a ninny. Trust me. I guess it depends what field you enter, but anything journalistic in nature isn't what it's cracked up to be.

I intend on raising the bar a bit, yes. In terms of the Social Studies related courses I take, I don't honestly imagine many people able to best me. And if they exist, well, they deserve to be much more than a teacher. Some of the other stuff though...eh. I'm really stupid when it comes to Science, sans Bio/Paleo/etc, and Math :\ Which I have to take.
