House - Season 6

I've been busy for the past week, but I still had time to watch House.

I think the plot, in terms of plot based House, was among the best out there. In the words of my colleague, Dr. Syd, it was basically a stand alone movie.

However...I'm just lost. I want House as it started off - a medical CSI.

Anywho, discuss Season 6. GO :|

It was def. a strange episode, very strange. Don't get me wrong I thought it was great, but like you said, it was just a little too far from the House that we all know and love. I'm just hoping that House will still be funny now that he won't be as big of an ass to people.

I can't imagine him still not being a huge ass. He may have dilemma's about doing so - but I still think he will be. At least, I hope so.

He'll get back into the groove of things soon enough. I wouldn't worry too much about that. It would be unrealistic for his character to make such a huge change in that one episode. Something like that they'd want to drag out over time. I don't think they will ever truly change his personality. His personality is part of what makes House such a huge hit.

Anyway, I loved the season premiere. It was a nice change to see House outside of his usual environment, and to make schemes, friends, and love (in that order). Now it'll be back to the normal House of medical mysteries. I'm sure some of his traits from the "asylum" will carry over, but he'll still be the same House. When you think about it, everything he believed in was proven right in that first episode. He didn't want to get involved in a relationship because he knew someone would get hurt, and he did get hurt. He knew that the music box was the key to the puzzle, and it was.

I can't wait to see the next episode and find out which way they go with this story. I just hope they don't do the usual Hollywood thing and butcher it.

House has shown in the past that he actually does care about the patients.  Not just puzzles and whatnot, but he cares.  House will still be the same, sarcastic SOB we know and love, but we'll probably see a bit more emotion coming from him this season.
