New Super Mario Bros. Wii

New Super Mario Bros. Wii is but a few days away (And, following Nintendo's tradition, it's simultaneously coming out on November 15th AND on a Sunday.), and I'm curious to see if anyone here is going to pick it up. I myself am going to buy it as soon as possible, and raid my brother's Wii (Since mine is STILL broken) to play it. And on an HDTV too. ^_^

Also, Yvan and Wolley. (Blue Toad and Yellow Toad) Propeller Suits. ICE FLOWER. Penguin Suit. KOOPA KIDS. Thoughts?

It looks like a good game, don't get me wrong, but a 50 dollar DS game we played in 2006... I'll still probably get it during thanksgiving as nothing comes out for the Wii this holiday season (again). I'm only genuinely excited about the Koopa Kids return. The new power-ups seem kind of "meh" to me. The Ice Flower is about 15 years too late and everything else looks "meh".

All I can say is that since this has the Super Guide this game BETTER BE DIFFICULT.

I just want an explanation of why they disappeared, and why they suddenly returned. With their skills, they probably got started in the entertainment business, entertaining folks with their ball bouncing, pipe hopping, wall climbing techniques.

Say, what's the point of the Tanooki suit if the Racoon suit is the same thing, minus the invincible statue transformation?

Say, what's the point of the Ice Flower if the Penguin Suit serves the same primary purpose, let's you swim better, and allows you to slide on your belly when on an icy surface?

Answer one, you answer the other.

remember in Mario 3, it had the Leaf, P-wing, and Tanooki Suit, all let you fly with slight differences

I'll probably get it.  Apparently the Super Guide feature allowed the developers to make the game fairly difficult.  If that's the case, playing the game with a friend will be pretty fun.

I never said Nintendo hadn't done that before, just saying it's still stupid...
Penguin Suit should've been more functional frog suit from Mario 3, since it's basically a swim suit..

 I'm getting this game. It looks cool, and the multiplayer seems fun. Plus fighting the Koopa Kids should be a fun change from the usual Bowser J.R.

I'm also looking forward to world 9.

Already got it reserved in full. All I gotta do is walk in, give 'em my name, and walk out with the game. I'm getting it 9am sharp. It's should be known I'm the master of Mario around here and would be getting it ASAP. I plan on having hours of fun with it and my friends on release day.... until work calls and I go "OH Come on!!!!"
