Most of you should have seen the speech. If not, search it on you tube (Obama Afghanistan Speech).

We have been in this war now for twice as long as world war 2. Many soldiers have died. Countless afghan civilians have been slaughtered, and the war has cost Billions to just the USA.

There are currently less then 100 Al Qaeda members in Afghanistan. Obama (pushed by republicans and war mongers) has sent 30,000 troops after them. 30,000...

It makes no sense. What would make sense is sending a special task force. The US has done this in the past, and it is very effective with missions such as "Hunt 100 rebels". But for some reason, the most articulate, intelligent president the US has had in decades, has decided to instead throw an extra few billion dollars and thousands of troops.

His remark about the USA being in danger. Fear mongering. Not true. Bull****. George Bush was an expert of this tactic.

The main reason of course for this war is to end corruption. It is in plain sight that the president of Afghanistan, backed by the USA, is corrupt. His brother is one of the biggest drug cartels in the world. Bull****.

This man has won a Nobel peace prize. Now, he seems to me to be the next War President.

All true, I agree with your statement about sending a special task force. This would definitly be the quickest and most effective way of finishing them off.

I don't know what a special task force is :-X 30k seems like overkill though.

For all we know, they can be plotting more ways to attack us. Have you seen the footage of the foreigners cheering and throwing candy out to the kids after the planes crashed? At least this time we have a legitimate reason to go after them.

The large number isn't just to go after the 100. It's to help stabilize the region, and to insure Pakistan doesn't lose its cool. Also, it shows that even though we have a new, more diplomatic/ less xenophobic president, we can and will still swing our giant military dick around if we have to.
