What are your favorite movies of the year? Below are my 10 favorites, which I have based purely on how much I enjoyed the film:

Tyler Perry's I Can Do Bad All By Myself
Tyler Perry's Madea Goes To Jail
The Knowing
The Haunting in Connectitcut
Obsessed
Orphan
The Hangover
The Proposal

I still need to see The Blindside, Avatar, Armored, Brothers, and some others ;_;

I was just about to say that there was no way I could remember what movies came out in 2009.

I might as well just rank all the movies that I watched and that also came out in 2009. Unfortunately, I barely watched any. Anyway, here's my ranking:

1.   Up
2.   Slumdog Millionaire (if you're counting it as 2009)
3.   Michael Jackson's This Is It
4.   Star Trek
5.   Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
6.   Taken
7.   Public Enemies
8.   The Proposal
9.   Ponyo
10.   X-Men Origins: Wolverine
11.   Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
12. Push
13.   Night At the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian
14.   Monsters vs. Aliens 3D
15.   Obsessed
16.   The Men Who Stare At Goats (Not my type of movie)
17.   The Invention of Lying
18.   G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (Possibly the worst movie I've ever seen in my life...)

I didn't get to see a lot of good movies this year. :\
My friends have terrible taste in movies because I watched most of the ones on this list with them.

I agree with your first two only. Watchmen was sup-par, BlindSide was omg Christiam (a turn off to me), and the Proposal just wasn't that funny in my opinion.

The first two were both exceptional additons to their genres.
