To be honest, I've said this in a chat: Every Final Fantasy final boss is pretty easy If you play your cards right.

But to answer your question: At least It's less bullpoop than XII And II.

But to answer your question: At least It's less bullpoop than XII And II.

I intercourse ing used Zombie Attack on him, followed by a Phoenix Down. Not to mention, unless you petrify all of your own party members, it's impossible to lose that fight. THAT'S LIKE IF SOMEONE DEALT YOU FOUR ACES AND A KING AGAINST THE BEST POKER PLAYER IN THE WORLD.
Please note, MYL knows less about card games than he does about women.

Also, II doesn't have Tidus. But unfortunately for XII, it has Vaan.

Still, they should've just had the battle before or something. Having Auto-Life made no sense to the plot at that part.

I kinda liked Vaan and Balthier, and that Ashe a bit, but the voice acting was just awful as well.

And If II Had voice acting It'd be worse. I still find X One of the better ones in the series, but not by that far.

Okay, to anyone who's beaten IX, I need some help.

I'm at Mt. Gulug, stuck on the part where you're forced to fight two Red Dragons, who promptly used Twister twice in a row to obliterate my party before the fight started, something the other Red Dragons didn't do. Everyone but red haired dreadlocks dude is in their early 30s, while he's level 28.

My party is Zidane, Vivi...whoever that Red haired dreadlocks dude is, and Dagger. Strategize me please. D:

This one? oh darn it's been so long since I've played it. I think I remember it being those.

As for help, Zidane/Vivi are good for this fight. You may want to have Quina in your party because she can use her Eat ability and gain twister from them. Here's what you want to do:

-Start off the battle with Vivi (If he has white magic learned; Think I did on mine) Or a white mage in your party
-If Vivi doesn't have white magic, just use Vivi to beat the poop out of them with high leveled spells.
-Have another party member potentially on heal while two of them attack.
-REGEN.
-Have two party members on attack; No less.

Oh, and of course the usual "If you have a few problems with magic, grind"

I still haven't found anything that learns me the element-aga spells. ;_;

Yeah, already doing that. Kind of hard when they rape me with the speed and force of lightning.

...so, tl;dr, the magic I have sucks. I feel really underpowered because of it.

Then try this:
-Octagon rod with Vivi
-Stop (Going to need some focus to go with it) Since It's not immune to stop, you could also try slow.
-Equipment to deal against wind damage/magic in general

And you should be set, oh and maybe swap out your party asides from Vivi/Zidane and grind a bit more If really needed. That's all I can think of since chances are when I got to that part in the game I was already overleveled.

So, got up to Tiamat. Who proceeded to rape the everlasting poop out of me with Absorb Attack. And, for giggles, I decided to Tent her, which resulted in her recovering a darnload of health and magic. On the plus side, I discovered that I could blind/silence her with the tent. Still, it got to the point where she Phunbaba'd Zidane and Steiner out of the party, leaving me with two White Mages who had their magic power absorbed.

So I quit. It was unwinnable from that point on.

...STILL, I JUST TENTED TIAMAT, SOMETHING THAT NEARLY COST ME THAT ZORN & THORN FIGHT. AND FUCK YOU GAME, FOR NOT GIVING ME A SAVE POINT AFTER THAT FIGHT WITH FIRE SNAKE LAMIA CHICK. GODDAMMIT.

Just beat Final Fantasy IX. And...well, Necron was an odd Final Boss. He just kind of...showed up at the last minute. And he looks like Seth from Street Fighter IV if Seth became a God of Destruction (Huh, the initials of that spell God. Funny.), had his face burned in acid, and translated his fighting moves into spells.

...so yeah.

I still like the original FF more than any other, and I've played most of them.  There's just something about it that makes my heart happy.

I've always wondered if there was a person who favored the first Final Fantasy over all the others. I thank you for confirming my thoughts, Bored.

Necron shows up out of nowhere but you know why you have to defeat him. If you don't he'll destroy the universe and create it over again. In a lot of ways I think thats one of the reasons the Terrans created Zidane, yeah to absorb Gaia but also to stop a God.

What's the easiest way to kill a god? With another god. So why not create one?
