Let's start from the beginning.

Doodle makes a thread in Sign In/Sign Out. He says he's leaving.

He talks to me in IRC, convinces me to leave with him. We're screwing around, so sure, I join him.

We get Custom and Sync in the room, they join us, just for kicks, we're screwing around, having fun. Lichi joins us as well.

So that's 5 very vital people of NSFCD apparently gone. We're having a intercourse ing blast.

The initial plan? Come back Sunday, I make a thread simply stating YOU HAVE ALL BEEN TROLLED, everyone laughs it up, it's a good day, everything goes back as normal.

Then Mack came online.

Oh yes, Mack, our egotistical bastard of a moderator.

Silver posts a thread right here in Power On, asking for suggestions for activity.

Then Mack posts.

Yeah yeah yeah, awards are on me. Me being on a new computer factors into that. Same with the podcast, which we need to actually plan.

Arcade is a definite yes, and it is something I have been working on. I imagine it's something that could be up and functional within a month. A front page just isn't useful to us by any means. I have some contest ideas that you are going to see pop up here throughout the weekend (one tonight) with minor reward (our big reward being saved).

But NSF, we need to talk. I'm not going to lie: I don't love this place like I used to. I love it more. This site is dying at the hands that fed it. Nourished it. Inaction is action against the forum. Rather than leaving - taking the easy way out, you are abandoning your friends, and what you once believed in. You're abandoning yourself.

To those that leave, no longer will your rank be waiting for you. Nor will welcome arms be outstretched for you upon your "return" from your "permanent" leave. For those that are leaving for a break, I'm glad. We all need a break. But for those turning your back on us - I'm incredibly disappointed.

In saying this, I give you 24 hours, by 6:30 EST, to return to us as you were. Besides that, you were likely not a part of our hearts and community anyways. Good riddance.

For those of you that stand by NSFCD, all it stands for, and the work we all dedicate to keeping this community together, I say thank you. You're what makes it matter. You're what counts. And Silver and I are going to make you proud to be members of this site in coming month.

Summed up: the 5 people that left get completely erased from NSF if they don't come crawling back by 6:30 tomorrow

The 5 of us are a tad concerned. Not really about the ranks, but the fact that Mack would even think of doing that. The ranks don't matter. I lose a pretty sleepover rank, Doodle looses Wiki powers, Sync loses his barely-used modship. No big deal.

However, it's the last sentence of the second to last paragraph that really struck me as amusing.

Ah, hearts and community, yes. That's why Sync has mod, I've made over 13,000 combined posts here, more than ~700 threads, Doodle has approximately the same stats, Lichi actually comes here, and Custom had more than 50 days recorded in IRC, right?

So, once again, Mack turns a little bit of forum fun into a huge intercourse ing disaster. What's that, 3 times now? The sleepover I temporarily took over, specifically stating that Mack would take over the second he got back, the Link RP incident (despite that being mostly F_H, Mack flipped a nice little poop as well), and now this. Fucking fantastic.

Because of this, Sync and Custom are probably not coming back. Doodle has not made his decision yet (as he's asleep), and Lichi is simply Lichi, riding the indifferent winds.

I might just join Sync and Custom in this. You all know I love this forum to death. Sync and Custom love it too, as does Lichi. That's why we're even here. We love you guys. We're just screwing around. Then, of course, Mack comes and ruins it all. Absolutely lovely.

So, a temporary and/or permanent goodbye, NSF. It was very nice knowing you. I probably will not be coming back until Mr. Mack gets a reality check and comes down off his egotistical high horse.
