Like or don't like? (things like 3D glasses)

IT'S AWESOME AND EVERYTHING SHOULD USE AND ABUSE IT

I believe it can work in movies, but not video games (or vice-versa)
1 (5.6%)
Maybe just a couple things can use it properly (like Avatar), but I don't want to see it become a huge fad
5 (27.8%)
I hate it and don't want anything to use it
5 (27.8%)
The current technological status of 3D isn't ready to be heavily used yet

Release of Avatar, its immense popularity, development and release of supposedly 3D-capable TVs, and now vague details of a possibly 3D-using new DS. Seeing too many details about it in such a short time, this stuff is getting a bit excessive.

I don't like and never liked any of this sort of thing. The most it seems worth to me is a brief tech demo of interesting sans-glasses effects relating to motion sensing, which I can't see being used well at all in any actual game.

It's not really all that great at all - I just find it to be a popping image most of the time in worse quality. Of course I don't really mind it as long as it's optional on most stuff; At this rate however it's heavily looking like it will be the new standard. I think it can be great on a few things but eh...

So my vote goes to "Eh, can work on some things, not as well on others"

3 of my friends smoke weed. Why? Well I asked one time, and this is what they said: "Because I can blow out smoke and it makes me feel like a intercourse ing dragon"

Hate it. I think it's a hassle to have to have 3-D glasses to watch a movie, i liked it better the old way. 2-D

I really hate how I've made more than 12,000 posts here. Thankfully this swaying, moving Chandelure makes it all worth it.

I don't honestly like the idea of using it heavily-nice for the occasional movie (as long as it's optional), but I don't want to have to use glasses all the time to watch something.

It's a gimmick that should have stayed in the 50s. It doesn't really add anything to the experience, But that DSi game, & head tracking I think are better ways to give the feeling of 3d. Besides, I get massive migraines from doing anything with it.

Notice who is pushing it most, Sony. How many things that they have pushed are amazing? Asides from storage? (Blu-ray on the other hand..... hope you know why PS3 needs installs. Anyway, moving on)
I get a feeling that Sony is very desperate to regain some face with the public, hence the 3d crap that seems so popular now.

I say wait until its not so darn expensive, at the least

3D is amazing. Avatar would have been terrible if it wasn't 3D, but it was 3D so it was a good movie. And I think its worth pointing out that the 3DS is definitely 3D, that isn't a rumor anymore. 2D even looks better in 3D. 3D is more, and more is always good. I chose the first option in the poll because I like 3D.

Because visuals on it's own completely save a movie?

Avatar was nominated for film of the year. It got there because of its amazing writing, revolutionary story, and fantastic acting.

Except it wasn't.

If it weren't for that last line, I would've killed you.

3D needs to die a slow and painful torturous death. Until we get to actual hologram technology, it'll be a complete waste in time and money.

Personally I just want it to go away altogether or be known for what it is to the general public: A mediocre at best movie.

At least they won't create a sequel ...I hope

3D's okay but everything doesn't need to be 3D. It's nice to have different things though.

I think the guy who played the avatar guy said he was making a sequel in an interview.

...What? SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT.

Now that's going to probably manage to outdo the first one in it's poopty aspects with flying colors considering how it ended.

Friendly Hostile

Certain things in 3D give me a nasty headache, so I'm not terribly fond of its use.

I feel the same. I don't want 3D in games to be mandatory.
