Ooc// Sorry MD, I fell asleep at 10:00 EST yesterday, which would have been 7:00 for you, I think. I used to be a night person, but now I'm not, sometimes I even go to bed at 7:30 and still feel tired in the morning, so I try to get as much sleep as I can, even on the weekends. xP

IC// Having fixed up her attire one last time, Shaelyn finally made her way onto the beach. Her black sandals met the sand in a swift manner as she wanted to make her way over to Miles's house as quickly as possible. She wasn't sure if Miles would approve of the change of clothes, because he was probably so used to her being "punk" that he wouldn't expect something like this, but it was a party, and she wanted to look atleast somewhat decent.

"Is it okay if I'm fashionably late?" Shaelyn remarked as she walked up to the door, seeing Miles standing there as if waiting for her, or someone else.

Miles was just about falling asleep when he saw Shaelyn arrive. 

"You're here! Please, come in.  And it's never too late for you," Miles said with a wink.  "I think everybody has already left, but you can- whoa.  You look...really good."

Ooc// Not everybody, I fell asleep on the chair as I always do after eating cake.

Ic// Nik sat in the same position he always sat in, only this time he was deep in sleep.

Shaelyn gave a slight giggle at his last remark, walking into his house and then turning around to face him. "Well, I guess I was so busy getting my outfit ready for the party that I actually missed the party itself." she remarked. "Though, I'm fine with it being just about only the two of us left." Shaelyn added with a wink like the one he had given her recently.

"Erm, actually Nik is asleep on that chair," Miles said with a little laugh.  "Here, take this and let's sit down on the couch,"  he said as he handed her a plate of food with a tall glass of sparkling apple cider.

Shaelyn just took the apple cider from Miles and sat down on the couch he had designated for them. She gave a slight chuckle, seeing the asleep man across the room. Atleast he wouldn't, err, interfere.

"I'm not hungry, but thanks anyways." Shaelyn replied, giving Mike a slight smile.

"So, now seems like a nice time just to get know each other.  How 'bout we just tell each other little random facts about ourselves.  Such as, my favorite is brown, my favorite movie is The Breakfast Club, my birthday is October 16, my favorite animal is the hippopotamus, and my middle name is Seth.  You're turn,"  Miles said with a smile.

"Okay.." Shaelyn replied, a slightly devious smile on her face."My favorite color is orange, my favorite movie is Dickie Roberts, my birthday is January second, my favorite animal is the Peguin, and my middle name is Anne." she explained in the same format Miles did, but she decided to add a little more. "My favorite food is lasagna, I used to keep stray cats as pets when I was little, and I actually don't have a house to live in, I just make shelter when it's necessary."

"You don't have a house?  But what about when it rains?  The news says there's going to be a horrible thunder storm coming this way.  You need a shelter.  Leaves and sticks and bark won't do a thing, Shaelyn.  I say this only because I...I care for you:  I can sleep on the couch and you can sleep in my bed.  I'll wash the sheets right and I'll just get a spare comforter from my closet and put it on the couch for me.  If you don't want to, it's fine.  I'd almost rather you take your time and think about it.  It's getting late.  See me in the morning so we can talk about it.  If you ever need anything, I'm always here for you."
