Would you cut off a finger for immunity?

I read a hypothetical on a friends Facebook and wanted to ask you all it.

Would you cut off a finger if it granted you immunity to all major diseases? I.E. Cancer, Aids, Alzheimer's, Parkinsons, STD's, etc?

Would you cut off a limb in general? What if it wasn't just the major diseases, but all sicknesses?

No I would not. I'd rather gamble and assume I don't get a major disease. And if I do, then I'll have to learn to live with it. I'll enjoy counting all ten of my fingers as I slowly and painfully die.
