Microsoft announced yesterday that the Kin phone will not ship in Europe and all development teams on the Kin will be integrated into Windows Phone 7. All this after spending millions in advertising and the device having only been on the market for 48 days. In that time, only 500 were rumored to have been sold.

I've never seen a company drop a device this quickly, even Nokia kept the N-Gage going for years.

Tuppy frightens me with his knowledge of legacy technology.

That thing was made by Microsoft? That was fast, I thought I saw a commercial for it the other day.

Uh...commercials are still going for it. lol way to go microsoft.

Based on that thing, they're still selling them in the US.

Not like I really care about getting a new phone.

The Game Boy Pocket.
Put it in your back pocket.
Sit down and it breaks.

Woah. I didn't even know that existed.

Silverhawk79

That was alarmingly fast. Was there something wrong with it?

Yes, they're not Apple, so they can't get away with making overpriced, gimmicky products without the danger of the product failing miserably.

I thought Kin was short for Kinect at first...

I wasn't really aware that it existed up until now.

Dog Food

I never heard of it. But then again, I don't watch commercials. So...

I'm waiting for the iPhone to come to Verizon.
I get obsessively manic over things. It's a problem.

I really hate how I've made more than 12,000 posts here. Thankfully this swaying, moving Chandelure makes it all worth it.
