I am questionable on the sign he is holding. Romans 9:13 says:

"Just as it is written: 'Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.'"

Esau traded his birthright for some soup... how does that equal God hating nerds.... Not like nerds have given up their souls to technology, they have just given up their time. And look! I just posted the Bible using the computer. I wonder if they would consider me a heathen or a saint.

I'm sorry but I don't think using computers or any form of technology means worshiping it. Even dictionary.com has one definition of worshiping as "To honor and love as a deity." My computer does not have special powers, it cannot revive the dead, it cannot turn water into wine (or funk), it cannot accurately predict the future. So these guys are either an insult to my religion, or the best trolls I have seen in awhile.... Oh well, people can take anything out of context and say they are right. My 2 cents as a religious person.

I think that sign was photoshopped oh well i'll just assume its not.
so basically, extremists are protesting a comic book convention; they claim that the nerds could be using their time to study the bible instead of reading comic books.
Well guess what, the christian extremists could be doing something worthwhile like serving food at a homeless shelter or a fundraiser instead of being a bunch of vagina cleaning devicebags.
