When I was in High School I would not consider myself popular, but I wasn't hated either. I was that quiet, shy, and polite student that wandered the halls and such. A lot of people knew me but I didn't have a lot of close friends. People would often say Hi to me during the day, anyways.

So, I'd say unpopular but known. :P

Between normal and popular, I'm at least on good terms [friendly with, but not very good/close friends, you know, the people you have in classes, and talk too, but don't really hang out with that much other than that] with 35% of our school[1600-1700 kids], with about 20 closer friends.

People knew me for the quiet, polite and somewhat bitter man I was in school. I was moderately popular even though I simply wanted to be left alone by most of the ignorant poop holes there, so while polite, I also have a fairly short temper, so I've made my fair share of enemies.

Well, I fit in with the popular kids but I don't really like the way most of them are. I'm sort of popular I guess, but I dislike a lot of the other "popular" kids.

I'm normal I guess, though I have friends from all of the stereotypical cliques.

I'm with Ichi. I'm also on good terms with a huge load of people. There are tons of people I talk with in class, people I say hi to in the halls, etc. In all my classes, everyone has always known me, and usually liked me. Then I too have around 20 close friends that I play sports with, play video games with, or just hang out with. [You know, normal 'outside of school' activities]

One thing, though, similar to TKB, I can be rather shy, too. Which, unfortunately, people sometimes take as being stuck up, because I'm not unknown. Still, I'm above normal, but the most popular kid in school.
