The world's fastest playable trivia game is back: Fall 2010

It's closer than you think!

As many of you (likely don't) know, KIT has earned a reputation for being the fastest playable trivia game out there. The few and the proud that have played can attest to this (though not all will; dissenters say it's just a mess...).

Truth be told, though, it has become a fan favorite. Many a time we have awarded our prizes to many a folk that have stepped up to challenge the beast.

Now, as coveted as our fourth place prize remains, not for its value but for its nostalgia, I pose that the champeen of our game on Thursday should win something else. So! As a result of this, the winner will receive a $20 Card (not cash) to either XBox's Microsoft Points program, Sony's Playstation online program, or Nintendo's Wii Points program. I will buy it and send you the code. My personal promise is that this will happen within a month; In the past I have always delivered but sometimes far later than expected. One month, this time, provided you stick around and don't disappear.

The "traditional prizes," of course, will still be awarded.  :)

The topic will be based on just about anything. Of course, Nintendo trivia will be sprinkled in. But that's largely subjective, based on the games I've played. So, sorry about that. A lot of it will be general knowledge, though. Get ready for that.

What is KIT?
The "fastest playable trivia game" moniker is derived from the rapid-fire nature of the delivery of questions. Questions in the slowest round are delivered less than 6 seconds apart from each other. In the fastest part of the fastest round, 3 seconds is a very generous span of time between questions.

So what?
Exactly. It's really not that big a deal. But it's pretty darn cool once you start playing. You need to think quickly and type quickly (and relatively accurately) to do well.

Who are you? Where did you come from?
I am well-known among what probably is a relatively small (and shrinking) group of users here, but at one point, I was established as a trivia game host. This game (and all of my games, for that matter, and I) actually go back to the original NSider Forums, and the days of Trivia HQ. You know, green, the stone mask, the wind, etc. If you've never met me, I promise you haven't missed much.


Also! A bit of shameless advertising: The Seventh Annual Holiday Moot Trivia game is on task to take place again this December! Make sure to look out for that as the snow starts to fall. The biggest and best annual trivia game since 2004 will return!
