Oh Vesperia, never change... never change

The Riddler

#1
-New Tab Placement
-Switch-To-Tab
-Firefox Button
-Apps Tab

Edit: Oh my god this is ugly as poop.

Things I don't like.

Bookmark bar at the bottom, tabs at the top. Didn't like this. FORTUNATELY, there was an option to change that. (Rightclick the tab bar and uncheck "Tabs on top").

It considers every tab you make A NEW WINDOW (At least on W7 it does.) So when I click the taskbar button to open Firefox I'm greeted with a spread of all my tabs, instead of the window just opening back up in one click.

Things I like:

Nothing, really. Actually, strike that. The Firefox button is kind of cool. Doesn't look like it has all the options the menu bar did though. But whatever.

Other than, it's pretty much the same as before, but now with a window problem. Oh, and my add-ons don't work on it yet. I can understand why though.

I'll stick with the old one. Maybe if this comes out of the "beta" stage I'll try it again.
I really hate how I've made more than 12,000 posts here. Thankfully this swaying, moving Chandelure makes it all worth it.

This has been out for a while. :U
The only thing I didn't like about it was

It also seemed to crash my display driver sometimes. Other than that, I liked it.
YEAH

Also, just went back to the old firefox. The one I used before the beta. Anyway, suddenly my refresh button is to the right of my address bar. I like it better on the left. (EVen though I can just use F5 anyway).

But yeah, the multiple windows thing is the single reason that I will not be using the new version. Unless that gets fixed.

Thank you.

I haven't noticed a "multiple windows" thing.

Are you using Windows 7?

Yep.
Odd.

Foe me, using the beta, makes it appear as multiple windows. As in, I click the icon, and instead of opening up Firefox, that horizontal spread of windows appears with ALL my tabs, separate.

Super

You can pretty much disable all of the features you don't like. Even the new tab button. The reload and stop buttons can be relocated back to the usual place. Just go to Customize to do that. The statusbar has been retooled to let you customize it like you would the navigation bar. You can drag anything you want there, including the new zoom buttons. When you hover over links, the location bar shows you where to leads to, so you don't have to rely on the statusbar to let you know. This can save you screen space while having all the same information available to you. You can put the tab bar on the bottom or top. You don't have to use the firefox button. You can just enable regular menus. Rendering web pages is faster now. The default theme is actually good-looking.

I don't see what you guys are whining about. This new Firefox is awesome. Sure there are bugs. But remember, it's the beta. If you hate it, you're stupid.

I don't hate it at all. In fact, I prefer the Firefox button. Saves me some space. I don't think I can get everything from that menu that I could from the menu bar, but I was able to put click buttons leading to History, Downloads, etc. onto my Bookmarks bar. One thing I still don't like:

Not used to the Tabs on top thing. And when I set it to the bottom, it looks kind of ugly. Just, the way it blends into the... webpage screen, or however you want to call that part. It just stops dead there with a black line, one pixel wide. I just don't like the way it looks. So I'm keeping tabs on top. I'll just have to get used to it.

The whole counting each tab as a window thing is something IE does on my school computers, so I'm presuming that's why. Chrome still wins.

BOREDFOREVER

I used Firefox a few years ago, and was alright with it.  I know that they have done a lot with it since then, but I'm having a pretty good time with Chrome.  I stick with it for now.

Huh. It just updated. Now the Firefox button is in the same bar as the tabs button. Saves a ton of otherwise wasted space, but I don't know if I like having my tabs at the very top of the screen or not. Also, I miss the "New Tab" button being RIGHT NEXT TO my last tab. It's all the way on the right of the tab bar now. Well, I usually have a lot of tabs open anyway so it's not much of a difference. But yeah, the tabs all the way at the top.... Not sure if I can change that or not. Haven't found a way to, but when the window's not maximized, they're below the Firefox button.

I'm starting to get used to it more.

You can move the New Tab button to appear next to your last tab.
