Darkrai exists within the physical world, while Dethl is purely a nightmare (as far as we know), so Darkrai could just kill the dreamer; however, the Windfish seems to be a minor deity, so how easy killing him in his sleep would be depends entirely on how powerful he is, which of course is up to speculation. As such, Darkrai would probably have to enter the dream to fight Dethl; however, seeing as how Darkrai seems to be fully competent in the realm of nightmares, I'd say he would still win fairly easy. In fact, seeing as how Darkrai can actually GIVE nightmares without physically entering the dream (he has the move Nightmare in battle), he could probably just make 9 stronger versions of Link to fight it for him; it's a battle of a limited creation versus an unlimited creator.

Winner: Darkrai by a landslide, in literally any way he can imagine.
